Daze

Hunter was drifting off as he rode on. It had been four days with barely any sleep for Hunter now. He was seeing odd visions as he slowly looked around the landscape. The valley looked almost alive as goats were dancing about with spirits that resembled beautiful ghostly women wearing only a sheer toga, yet revealing nothing at all. Laughter filled Hunter's ears as the ghostly women laughed while dancing with the goats. Hunter knew he was seeing things since he had been poisoned before especially during his training days as a youth. He could also hear the music being played by the frolicking goat men who were a man above the waist and a goat below the waist. The music was so majestic that he could see the notes dancing in the air in different ghostly colors as they came out of the pan flutes.

As he looked at Islana he saw several little six inch sparkling women with glittery wings fixing Islana's fiery red hair. She looked very pretty as she was looking around. Then he looked at Stran and saw several little six inch red cap imps with a cyclone lower-half circling the head of Stran as they did their war cry which sounded oddly like angry chipmunks. When Islana spoke it sounded like it was in slow motion and Hunter was not sure what to say. Then he heard a familiar voice and turned to look to see who it was. He had to blink to make sure who he was looking at he was looking at his dead lover Nora floating next to him. He could still see the bloody slice on her throat as she gave him a wicked grin.

In his mind he began to have a conversation with her and no one heard a word of it. Nora spoke, "Hello lover. Miss me?" Hunter replied, "Yes." Nora stuck her finger into the hole in her neck and grinned as she replied, "Apparently not. You got me real good." Hunter replied, "I am sorry." Nora chuckled then asked, "So are you gonna kill Cora now that she betrayed you?" Hunter was sad as he replied, "No......I deserved this." Nora tried to smile then was annoyed as she replied, "What? No excuse like I had it coming for trying to kill you?" Hunter looked at Nora with pain in his eyes as he replied, "I can't atone for my actions, but can you tell me why?" Nora chuckled as she replied, "Why did I join the Creed? Why did I try to kill you? Does it matter?" Hunter, "Maybe.....I dunno. You both dragged me into your lives and then try to kill me and betray me. So why?"

Nora looked at Hunter with a scowl as she replied, "Why indeed? Maybe your new friend will cut your mortal coil and you can ask me in the afterlife?" Hunter looked at Nora as she cackled like a witch. Hunter was annoyed as she taunted him more along the ride.
