Blair reclaimed his footing thanks to help from Rita Del Ray. He stumbled alongside her as the world around them threatened to claim them.

"Thanks, Rita...let's get back to the ship."

He remained close to the female scientist as they attempted to depart.

Adama was not wasting anymore time as he was booking it with the others. His number one rule was to stay alive while making a profit. It was pointless to die for money when he could just prospect in a better place.

Rita hurried back to the HTV, making her way as fast as she could, while trying to not look frazzled. The truth was that she WAS frazzled, though, and the woman clung onto Blair's hand a bit tightly as they hustled.

"No arguement from me Doctor..." She said.

The ground crew piled into the HTV, the cabin tense with urgency as Niko gunned the engine, leaving the mobile science trailer and any other bulky items behind at the site as it would only slow them down. The heavy-terrain vehicle rumbled forward, climbing the icy escarpment that led out of the basin they had descended into earlier.

Niko drove cautiously, not daring to attempt any reckless jumps like Sestero who was already a several hundred meters ahead of them. Time was already slipping through their fingers as the wall of greyish yellow storm clouds closed in from the east. The HTV roared as Niko pushed the throttle, but it was no use, within minutes, the blizzard was upon the ship in the distance.

The Nomad vanished behind a suffocating veil of snow and ice, swallowed by the storm’s fury. The ground crew lost visual on the Nomad, still minutes away.
