Our Favorite Finn (Pt 9)
Piritta chuckled softly in her throat. “Söpö, niin söpö.”
Colt was about to doze off and jerked awake when she spoke, his face flushed. “T-th…thanks…it just…it feels nice. Relaxes me…” He almost whispered, glancing at her. No one had ever called him cute, but Tzeitel, and when she said it she was always referring to him in a brotherly manner. To have another woman say that was…it made him feel special.
“Joo, your butt doesn’t go up though.” Piritta sounded almost disappointed.
“I’m in a car, silly.” Colt chuckled. “It’s a bit different if I’m lying on my stomach.”
Piritta smiled and laughed. “Are we going to stay in the car?”
“No, I was thinking of finding us a place to stay.” Colt told her. “If we pay cash we can’t be followed.”
“If we camp out in the woods we can’t be followed either.” Piritta pointed out.
“Yeah, well…we are in a camping area…no one else is here.” He glanced out the windows and shrugged. “There’s a tent in the back seat we can use.”
Piritta nodded. “Joo, that will work.” She said, and opened her door.
Smiling, Colt got out of the car and opened the back door. He grabbed up everything and started to set up the tent, shockingly very good at it.
Piritta crept behind Colt and scratched his back.
Colt’s whole body relaxed and he fell forward, his rear end in the air in a very comical cat-like fashion.
Piritta laughed. “Hei kissa.”
Colt sat back up, face red with embarrassment. “Don’t tell anyone, please.” He gulped and laughed nervously.
Piritta shrugged. “Who would I tell?” Really she had no one but her grandparents and they did not know Colt and she thought the less they knew the better.
“Good point, but this can be…our little secret.” Colt shrugged as well, smiling at her.
“Now you’re making it sound sexual.” Piritta said.
Colt looked confused. “How am I doing that?” He honestly didn’t realize.
“Little secret.” Piritta replied.
Colt still seemed confused. “Yeah, so?” Shrugging, he went back to work and got the rent set up. “Want me to start a fire so we can cook?”
“Joo, a small fire would be nice.” Piritta said.
Nodding, Colt got to work and soon had a small fire going. He was purring as he did so.
Piritta sprawled comfortable on the ground, feeling the heat of the fire on her back as she looked further into the woods.
Colt sat by the fire and contemplated what to cook as his other senses strained. They listened for anything out there that might grow close.
“I could catch some fish.” Piritta offered.
“Want me to help?” He asked as he dug into his boot and pulled out a knife. “I used to catch them by hand as a kid.” Memories of jumping into the water and catching fish with his dad sprang to mind.
