Friends Are Here (Part 2)
Tzeitel’s hands twitched. [i]She was remembering when she was around 12 years old. More innocent than she is now but nobody was innocent for long after being in MegaCorp. Her stomach hurt and she was terrified of what she was now going to be subjected to, she could hear it happening to another girl her age in a nearby cell. Her cell door opened to reveal Urbanus, the crescent shaped scar on his cheek still fresh, one of his unwashed cronies stood behind him. Tzeitel dove under her cot, when her ankle was grabbed and she was pulled out she used her powers.
“That's not going to work anymore.” The memory was changing into a dream. Tzeitel saw Urbanus hold up a fob, the scar fading with age as he pressed the button to repress her powers.
Tzeitel forced herself to wake up, some repellent pheromones escaping her before her large eyes opened causing Ami to spring off her seat and move towards the door before stopping and looking back at Tzeitel, tilting her head.
“I'm sorry.” Tzeitel whispered to Klaire, tears running down her face. She knew that what actually happened was not any better than the dream, even if Tzeitel had been able to avoid getting used for years, until Canestone finally got her.
Klaire was halfway across the room when she realized what was happening, silently cursing herself for not keeping her guard up. Shaking off the repelling feeling, she returned to Tzeitel and gently stroked her hair. “It’s okay. You can’t help it after having them suppressed for so long…” She whispered so only her friend could hear. “Is there anything you need right now? We haven’t landed yet, but once we’re at the Underground Delilah can have a nurse look over you. I don’t doubt Loreen’s information, but I want to make sure you’re healthy.”
Tzeitel was not apologizing for the pheromones, but she felt bad for that too. Especially since Ami was affected. She shrugged at Klaire's question, only for her whole body to tense up at the mention of the nurse. Klaire was the only person Tzeitel was comfortable being touched by. Meanwhile the babies were punching and kicking as if trying to escape. Tzeitel winced, she felt like they were clawing their way out.
Ami was fascinated by the fading pheromones. Her sister’s power was so neat.
Klaire set a hand on Tzeitel’s stomach and rubbed it gently to soothe the children. “The nurse is someone we trust, someone I trust. I’ll be there with you.” She promised. “I’ll be with you the entire way and James promised me he would cook you healthy meals that wouldn’t upset your stomach.”
Tzeitel shivered. The babies pressed their little hands against Klaire’s hand. “Will she… t-touch me?” Her voice was full of dread. She really struggled with just having Loreen touching her to take her vitals and treating her injuries.
“She will, but we can figure that out together.” Klaire replied with that loving and sisterly smile of hers. “I’m here for you, okay?”
“No.” Tzeitel shook her head, panicking. “Please, I c-can’t.”
“Hey, hey…we’re not there yet. We can work this out, okay?” Klaire reassured her.
“It h-h-hurts. I c-can’t t-take it.” Tzeitel panicked, shaking.
“What hurts?” Klaire asked with worry.
“Being t-t-touched.” Tzeitel whispered.
“Like I said, we’ll figure it out, Tzeitel.” Klaire promised as she pulled her hand away. “I’m here to help you the whole way.”
Tzeitel shook her head. “Y-you’re okay. Anyone el-else… I c-can’t.”
“Maybe I can get them to help me do everything?” Klaire suggested.
