Finding Doc!

Nero would follow Riley down along hallways, but when they passed the elevator he pointed out that it was now probably out of order thanks to, well, him.

Riley shrugged “ these shafts have ladders to them loreen should only be on the next floor up.

Nero looked up. “No up. We are at top.” He said. “Down?” Going to the elevator shaft, he looked down and snorted before he started to climb down. “Get on back.”

Riley nodded and hopped on “let's hurry and find her” he replied in a worried tone.

Slither turned and licked Riley’s face.

Nero climbed down to the next floor and ripped open the elevator doors. He climbed onto the floor and they were quickly met with MegaCorp guards and soldiers. Growling, the giant pulled the snake off and handed it to Riley. “Wanna play?” He asked as he rushed forward and started to kill them violently. Those he didn’t blow up, he started ripping apart by hand.

Loreen, hearing the chaos, stepped out of a room and gasped. “Nero?!”

Riley smiled at the sight of her and used his speed to run over and pick her up in his arms. “It's out.”

“What?” Loreen asked, a hand going to her own neck as if instinctively aware. “How?”

“Haven and Yule” he explained “i know it reckless but now we can leave he can't kill me with the chip anymore. We can be finally be free.”

“We’re on an ice island. How do you plan to get us off?” Loreen asked. “Hey, don’t eat him! He has an STD!” She went to Nero and smacked his arm. “GET THAT OUT OF YOUR MOUTH!”

It was comical to see a tiny woman smacking this giant of a man. He even dropped the arm in his mouth like a scolded puppy.

“We can’t stay here if Thrane finds out I don’t have my chip anymore” he replied watching her scold Nero.

“What about mine, though?” Loreen asked, touching her own neck.

“What are you doing?!” Coral’s voice was seething as she stepped out of a room and saw the nightmare.

“We can get it out before we leave” he assured her before spotting Coral and getting in between them.

“Leave?” Coral asked, glaring at them. “You can’t leave!”

Nero growled at Coral and threw the STD arm at her. The water woman screamed and splashed to the side from it. “EW!”

“Leave us alone Coral” Riley growled “You’re not gonna stop us.”

“I’ll tell Thrane you and that whore are leaving!” Coral said as she pointed at Loreen. With that pointing finger, she shot water blades toward them, one slicing along Loreen’s face.

Riley moved forward getting Loreen to safety before glaring at Coral his body vibrating with built up energy “I have suffered for years at the hands of you and that monster” he growled. “You want to hurt me that is fine but you will never touch her ever again.”

“I dare you to harm me!” Coral practically screamed. “You’ll harm your child!” She touched her stomach.

Loreen glared at Coral, but Nero snorted. “Filth.” He pointed at Coral.

“You don’t need limbs to give birth to my child” he growled in a dark tone.

“I’ll make sure you never have a child if you hurt me!” Coral shot back.

“Riley…” Loreen whispered in worry, not sure what to think of this dark tone he was using. Even Nero seemed perplexed, tilting his head to the side like a confused puppy.

“Then leave Loreen alone” he warned.

Coral, angry, screamed and sent out a bunch of water blades at all of them. Nero quickly put himself between Coral and Riley, pulling both him and Loreen close to protect them. Slither fell from his head and plopped down into Riley’s arms, letting out an annoyed hiss.

Riley wrapped his arms around Loreen “are you ok?” he asked in a worried tone.

Loreen nodded, her eyes full of fear as she gazed at Slither. Had the little snake gotten bigger?

Nero let them go once the water stopped and turned toward Coral with a loud growl. “Hurt friend. Hurt aunt. I. Hurt. You.” He let out a roar and started to focus his power on her.

Being water, Coral didn’t feel it at first as her liquified body began to expand. “What is he doing to me?!” She screamed.

Riley stared at the snake for a moment “Loreen you’re not going to like it but I know how to get your chip out.”

“What?” Loreen squeaked as she stared at the snake in dismay. Slither tilted her head and flicked out her tongue toward Riley.

“Slither can heal you while Yule and Haven remove your chip” he explained “I can also give you some of my blood since I’m a universal donor.”

Loreen was hesitant to explain her situation and grimaced. The snake could help with that kind of power, but still…”Uhm…” She began before hearing Coral scream again and splatter into a pool of water. “Is…is she dead?”

Slither was now poking Riley with her head.

Riley petted her before moving around Nero to check on Coral.

Nero looked at Riley. “Dumb water…” He muttered.

“Is she dead?” He asked inspecting the hall.

Nero’s pointed ears twitched. “No…” He growled and the water began to rush down the hall, running from them.

“That’s not something you see every day.” Loreen commented.

“We need to get going no doubt she'll tell Thrane” Riley sighed.

Loreen nodded and looked toward the elevator. “Where’s the…elevator?”

“Crushed!” Nero said proudly.

“We'll have to climb up the shaft” Riley answered.

“Piggy,” Nero pointed to his back.

Loreen sighed heavily and climbed onto her nephew’s back, clinging to his blood soaked shirt. “You two are in so much trouble…” She grumbled.

“You can punish me all you want once we get out of here” Riley replied climbing onto Nero.

Nero would soon start climbing up the elevator shaft while Loreen glared at Riley. “Brats, both of you.” She whispered.

“Yeah but we're your brats” he teased with a wink.

Loreen leaned over and pinched his face roughly just as they got to the top floor again and Nero climbed out. He set both her and Riley down before looking around at the dead bodies to see what smelled like good food.

“Nero, stop trying to eat everything!” His aunt seethed.

“Hungry,” Nero grumbled.
