Tattoo Days (Pt 2)

“I don’t think bullets work on him. Rumors say he’s immortal or something. I dunno…” Seele narrowed her eyes and reached into another drawer, pulling out a shotgun as she made her way toward the front of the shop. “What do you want?”

Strange men stood inside, heads hidden in strange helmets. The dogs of MegaCorp had shown up…

“ I'd suggest leaving,” Lyle added, pulling a gun from a hidden holster.

One of them tilted its head to the side and made a snorting noise.

“They don’t listen to anyone but MegaCorp.” Seele said as she aimed her shotgun at the ‘men’.

“Works for me” Lyle replied pulling the trigger.

The bullet made a shoulder jerk, but the man didn’t stop when he started toward them. The other followed.

Angry now, Seele took a shot with her own gun and created a huge hole in the same man’s side.

Only, he didn’t stop.

“Shit!” Seele hissed.

“Zombie rules aim for the head” Lyle shouted squeezing the trigger.

“Or the legs to slow them down!” Seele chimed as she turned the shotgun downward and pumped the shotgun, taking another shot. It caused that specific dog soldier to stumble as they others kept coming forward. They all started to rip away their masks, jaws wide, sharp teeth ready to bite.

Lyle kept shooting as he aimed for the head while his free hand went for the long combat knife on his waist.

Jumping up as the dogs grew closed, Seele kicked one to the side for Lyle to slice up while she shot the face of another. They would go through this for a good twenty minutes until the beasts were dead. “Looks like they’re catching on…though, they kept trying to reach you. Why are they after you?” She asked, looking at the man.

“Besides my good looks no idea” he replied locking the door and closing the blinds “not like I'm a meta.”

“Any history with MegaCorp?” Seele asked. “Or…didn’t you mention something about military before?”

“Meta response unit” he admitted checking over his pistol “deployed to counter my enemy forces utilizing metas”

“That might be why. Think maybe they want you back?” Seele thought aloud as she rolled a body over and sighed. “This’ll take forever to clean up. You asshole mutts are bad for business.”

“maybe not sure” he admitted “If it is im sorry for bringing you into this.”

“I’ve always been in this, so it’s not your fault.” Seele said and whistled. A large dragon-like creature would climb out of a large floor vent and started dragging the bodies in. “Good boy, Bruno!”

“that's convenient” Lyle chuckled “so any idea what to do next?”

Seele sighed heavily and went to get some cleaning supplies. Upon returning, she turned the sign on her door to “CLOSED” and locked it. “We clean up and then I’ll call the Underground to see if they know what to do. I may have to move. Again.”

“gotta admit this is one of the weirdest first dates I've been on” he chuckled grabbing cleaning supplies.

“I’ve been on weirder,” Seele admitted as she started cleaning, patting Bruno on the head as he dragged the last body away. “He eats them, bones and all.”

“Still once this is over want to grab some dinner?” He asked while cleaning.

“We can,” Seele said with a smile.

“Looking forward to it” he smiled while cleaning up the last of the blood.

They would get everything cleaned up and looking as if no one had been killed in the room. Seele went back to the floor vent and whistled again. Bruno would poke his head out and nuzzle her before going back into hiding. “Good boy. Be back soon!” She pulled out her phone and called the Underground.

“So should we take my bike or….” Lyle asked.

“I don’t have a car, so sure.” Seele said after she got off the phone. “We can head to the date now. I’ll go to the Underground in the morning.”

“we'll go together I'm a part of this now” he replied checking the window before opening the door.
