Hope - It's All We Have

It would be only a few hours later when someone else was wheeled in and set on a bed. He had a missing leg and was in a deep sleep. They would pull the curtain around to give him privacy.

“What happened to him, I wonder…” Shiro said, awake again.

“He pissed off that giant guy…” One of the nurses replied with a sigh.

“Nero?” Riley asked half asleep.

“Yes, that one…Loreen is scolding him now.” The nurse rolled her eyes.

Shiro chuckled and shook his head. “Never antagonize the cannibal…”

“Hopefully she'll take it easy on him.” Riley replied chuckling himself “i remember the last time I upset her”

“We all do…” Shiro murmured, staring at the closed curtains. “But then I’ve been at the receiving end of Nero’s wrath.”

“Hopefully they can help him here” Riley replied laying back down. “I hope colts ok”

That was all they could do.
