Light Bulb Moment

"I was not checking out your wings because this is the first time I have met a hawkman. The pain reliever I took earlier is still going strong. I have a question for you. Are you gay?"

Talerian stopped sweeping as he paused to look at the doctor with some confusion in his eyes. He was confused as to the conversation of looking at his wings turned into him being gay. In his mind it made no sense at all. Then he replied, "How did looking at my wings turn into me being gay?" Then B.O.B. paused in his cleaning to hover by Talerian's side. B.O.B. then looked at the doctor and then at Talerian before he spoke up, "Ummm Master I think I can explain the situation in a simplified manner." Talerian looked at B.O.B. and asked, "Are you being serious B.O.B.?" B.O.B. replied, "Yes Master since we have been traveling together I have noticed your past actions, reactions and behavior based on various stimuli." Talerian winced as he was not sure what B.O.B. was going to say on the matter as he replied, "Okay? Go on then." B.O.B. then said, "Well Master we have been on your mission for a bit of time and I have noticed you have been very diligent in maintaining your weapons and your ship as well as your contracted missions to earn credits. However, "Anything not pertaining to your main goal is strongly ignored and rarely addressed."

Talerian sighed as he said, "Get to your point B.O.B.." B.O.B. then said, "Well Master you have a tendency to ignore the advances of any females that are interested in you, even to the point of not even noticing their obvious hints." Talerian then asked, "When did this happen?" B.O.B. Several times sir. To the point where the females gave me their contact information to pass on to you when you stopped to listen. There was the daughter of the technician at the salvage yard where you had me fixed. Then when we were on Kisurra, there were the waitresses and patrons who took a liking to you but you never noticed them." Talerian felt a bit guilty as he realized he didn't even stop to noticed all that happening. He then replied, "Okay so how does that make me gay?" B.O.B. sighed then replied, "Master I believe based on her actions and responses that this injured female has been making advances to you this whole time." Talerian was confused as he asked, "When and how?" B.O.B. replied, "Master she asked you to look at her legs." Talerian, "Can she lost her balance in this odd shoes." B.O.B. said, "Master she was also feeling you up and was ogling your backside in a rather demeaning manner. Then when you misunderstood her intentions she asked if you preferred men based on your lack of awareness."

Talerian was in awe and then asked, "Seriously? But I am straight. I just don't have time for a relationship right now." B.O.B. said, "She does not know about your mission Master." Talerian looked like he just had a big moment of awareness as he looked at the doctor and sighed before he replied, "I am not gay and I am sorry. I am looking for my sister who was kidnapped and I have been so focused on that, so I was oblivious to anything not related to my mission. So I am sorry if I upset you." Talerian looked at the doctor as he wondered what her response would be.
