Fruit

Nataya leaned in slightly to read the hand-woven letters. "Stella." She said, before standing straight again. She smiled and dropped her shoulders a bit, accepting that Stella was not a threat. The young doe peaked through the trees, her head visible but her body hidden. Nataya pointed in the direction of her companion. "I found some fruit to share." She said before turning towards the deer and patting her legs to call it over. "Yuki, come."

The doe stamped the ground in defiance and stared silently for a few seconds before cautiously approaching. She kept her distance until Nataya held out the half eaten avocado, to which Yuki happily walked up to accept.

"We have some more." Nataya said, motioning towards a spot on the ground where several grapes and raspberries lay untouched. "Are you hungry?"
