Cali Crew - Sister, Sister

Nike came back before too long, trying, and failing to look upbeat. “So…” She said, sitting down at the dark table. “Who wants to go camping for a bit?”

"That bad huh? It's not going to be under a bridge is it?" Nikka asked with a scrunched nose.

Nikita made a face. “How long before he moves the money back?” She asked.

“He… uh… didn’t exactly shuffle funds this time,” The oldest sister admitted. “He … It’s just temporary, mind you, everything is frozen for right now. All of his assets. He hasn’t paid the electric in three months, and it’s fairly possible that we’re squatters right now.”

"Not for another 28 days. " Bishop said with a sigh.

"How does he keep doing this? He isn't even here and he's causing cha- oh my gawd I'm my father's daughter …" Nikka quickly shook off the hereditary train for causing chaos. "... I could, you know …" she added, wriggling her fingers.

"And turn the condo into baba yaga's hut? No way." Bishop laughed.

“You can’t magic away money issues,” Nikita said sullenly, wishing she hadn’t quit her job at Big Bear’s Auto Repairs back in Cali Beach.

"How do you know if I don't try?" Nikka challenged.

“Because unfreezing assets is a federal crime,” Nikita shot back.

"It's magic! Who are they going to BOLO? Harry Potter?" Nikka said, crossing her arms.

“By all means then,” Nikita snarked. “It’s not like that’s what got us into this situation in the first place or anything.”

“Nikita!” Nike chastised in a sharp tone.

Nikka looked like she had just been slapped before sniffing and storming off to her shared room and locking the door. Which she was now actively refusing to share.

"Well … that happened." Bishop said with a deep sigh.
