Vampires, Spokesperson and Came

Alyssa would spend a few hours on research, only breaking when people reminded her to eat. At around dinner time, she was finally finished. At dinner she announced a meeting, after dinner in the living room to fill in everyone on what she had found out. So, after dinner and any clean up she had to do, the hacker went into the living room and waited for the others to arrive.

Sartre arrived and sat down. He smirked at the hacker. "What did you find? I wasn't looking over your shoulder.”

After cleaning up from all the tree sap, pine needles, leaves and roof debris Agent Powers and Ekaterina arrived for dinner and then helped clean up before heading to the living room for the meeting.

"I'll tell everyone at the meeting. It's quite a bit." Alyssa smiled at him. She spotted Max and Ekaterina arriving, now to just wait on the others.

Sung walked in and took his seat, greeting everyone present. " Sorry, I was not around. I was feeding the squirrels, trying to recruit them to help," said Sung with a smile.

Alyssa smiled, and laughed at Sung's quip. "They would be useful." She joked, then turned her attention to the team. "Well, I have found out some information. The question is where to start. How about with the two Princes?" Alyssa paused. "I did find out about the clans' abilities and weaknesses. So, apparently the Toreadors, which is what the Prince of Gary is, like all Toreadors had a weakness for very beautiful things. Like they become opposed with possessing these items. It looked like they have one in particular they are focused on, for the Prince of Gary it's paintings but I wasn't able to figure out much more than that. The Toreadors all have quick reflexes, the ability to command a crowd and the ability to see one's true nature. The Ventrue, which is what the Prince of Chicago is, all apparently have some curse where they can only drink one kind of blood. And I mean really specific. The Prince can apparently only drink the blood of young adult women, over the age of 20 but younger than 40. They also have the ability to command crowds, but also the abilities to dominate someone's mind and they are very tough. Some reports say that they are more immune to sunlight than other vampires..

Now, the two Princes have apparently been in a feud, for years, over whether or not to combine the two cities into one large territory and who should rule that united territory. Also, apparently the Sire, the one that made the Prince of Gary, is a primogen, or the leader of the Toreador clan in Chicago." Alyssa paused there for everyone to absorb that info or ask anything.

"Do you think the theater has anything to do with the feud?" asked Sartre.

Ekaterina elegantly replied, "If the Toreador are dedicated to the arts it would make sense that they are related to the theater and anything else of a similar nature. However it is odd for an art lover to live in Gary of all places.”

"It was once a bustling automotive city," said Sartre.

Agent Power gave Sartre a smolder then replied, "That is what doesn't make any sense though." Ekaterina elegantly looked at Agent Powers and asked, "What part of that does not make sense Mr. Powers?" Agent Powers replied, "Well if this vampire art lover Prince has so much influence and power, then how come Gary became such a dive? Chicago is way better than here and it's not even that far away?" Ekaterina paused elegantly then pondered the idea as she said, "Perhaps the Prince in Chicago is better suited for controlling the economy and the Prince of Gary is better suited to be an art collector.”

"That was my thought. I also wondered if maybe he had done something to get into trouble and the Elders stuck him in Gary, as a sort of punishment. I was going to try to find out more later about that, or we might be able to ask the Prince of Chicago." Alyssa responded.

Ekaterina elegantly looked at Alyssa and asked, "So what is the plan to met with the vampires?”

"We're supposed to be at the Prince of Chicago's office tomorrow night at 8. I was thinking the group could just have dinner in Chicago before the meeting." Alyssa responded. "If everyone's good with that.”

"Sounds good," said Sartre. "Alyssa, make sure the cameras are ready before we go to bed.”

Ekaterina elegantly looked at the stoic Agent Powers and then back at Alyssa and replied, "I think we can manage that right Mr. Powers?" Agent Powers gave Ekaterina smolder then a smirk and a nod before he answered, "Sounds doable. I'll be ready either way it goes down.”

Alyssa wasn't sure why Peter brought up the cameras, right then, "They're set-up, but I'll check them." She focused back on the meeting. "I did find out info on all the clans, or the ones I found information on. It's a lot of information, so, I think I'll just send it to everyone but does anyone have any questions about the various clans?”

Agent Powers nodded as he asked, "Yeah going by skills, powers and strength....which clans will I have trouble fighting if it comes to that?”

"How many clans are there?” Sartre asked.

Alyssa responded to Max first because he had asked first. "Well, there are clans that are fast and ones that are strong. Then there are the ones that can mess with people's heads. The Brujah and Gangel are known as fighters. The gangel are apparently closer to their animal side and can grow claws. The Ventrue, Tremere, Tmizice, Lasombra, and Malkvaian can dominate the mind. The Malkvaian's clan curse is insanity, so, that's concerning. But I think overall the Ventrue might be the ones to worry about in a fight. The Tmizice are a concern if any of us are captured, there was something about them molding flesh." Alyssa got a shiver up her spine just thinking about it.

She then addressed Peter, "There's 13 clans. I don't believe they are all on the same side however. Plus the Catiff, and a group called the thin-blood, those that are not considered part of a clan.”

"What about The Sabaat?” Sartre asked.

"That includes them. There's the Tmizice and Lasombra but the others seem more like they were members of one of the Masquerade clans and became Sabbat, I was still looking into that." Alyssa explained

"Anything else interesting about the supernatural on that Shreknet site?" asked Sartre. "Would forming an alliance with the supernatural creature's factions help the secret world factions in any way?" Sartre waited to hear what they all thought.

"There was your question about the Imbued, the Heralds and the Hunternet." Alyssa said to Peter, wishing he'd ask one thing at a time. "The Imbued are basically people that can see the supernatural. Some of them become Hunters of said creatures. The Heralds are the announcers for the Prince in large areas. The Hunternet is a website for the Hunters. It's accessible through a dummy site.”

"I thought the heralds were some sort of creatures similar to the bees that speak to the hunters, gave them their powers and imbued them. Similar to when we swallowed a bee in 2012. You filled out the application for that dummy site right?" said Sartre.

"Yes, I filled it out. And no that's not how they get their powers. Where did you even get that information?" Alyssa wondered, as she didn't see him research anything. "The Imbued get their powers from what is called "Messengers". There is a lot of debate as to who these messengers actually are but some think the messengers are angels or aliens. tlThey echo three virtues, Mercy, Vision and Zeal. These virtues have a lot to do with what abilities the Imbued receive. I didn't research enough to know much more about it. There are also what's known as witch-hunters who fight supernatural beings who have not been Imbued.”

Peter smiled at the way the hacker had taken control of things. "I wonder if the bees and the messengers are connected or if they could be the same thing". Peter then responded. "I got the information when I profiled Sheppard the vampire."

"I don't think they are the same. The Messengers sound more like a being - an angel or alien doesn't sound like something you swallow. As for being related, I don't know. I mean they could be government related." Alyssa shrugged at Peter's next response."I guess his info was wrong. Or he gave you incorrect info.”

"Does anyone else have any other theories about Alyssa's research?" said Sartre, then he thought of something."Does anyone know where Eun Ji is?" he asked.

Agent Powers gave Sartre a smolder then he looked at Alyssa with a smolder before looking at Ekaterina with a smolder. Then he spoke up, "Well I'll leave the negotiations to you guys since you're better than I am at it, but if things go sideways I'll jump in since violence is my forte." Ekaterina elegantly smirked at Agent Powers and she said, "Don't sell yourself short Mr. Powers. You are more than a mass of muscles." Then she looked at Sartre and said, "You may want to ask the Dragons as to Ms. Eun-Ji's location. Also when we meet the Prince of the vampires, who will be our representative in the negotiations? I am sure it would be in poor form if we all talked at the same time.”

"I don't believe the Dragons on the team know anything more about her whereabouts then what we do. I doubt we can ask any other Dragons for that info, but maybe one if our Dragons can ask." Alyssa looked at Sung. "Who would be the best spokes person. It should be someone used to being diplomatic." Turning to Ekaterina. "How are you at such things?”

Ekaterina elegantly smiled at Alyssa as she replied, “That is an interesting idea. I wonder how the rest of the team would feel about that?”

"Anyone, have anything to comment about that suggestion?" Alyssa asked.

“All I will say about Eun-Ji is that she does what she does. If I know her, she is off doing some type of research or investigation. She will get back to us when needed," commented Sung.

"So, with that settled, how does everyone feel about Ekaterina being the spokesperson for the team, in front of the Prince?" Alyssa tried to steer the conversation back.

"I'm ok with it." said Sartre.

Agent Powers nodded as he replied, “Yeah you are good at taking to people.” Ekaterina elegantly smiled and said, “How sweet of you to say that.” Then she elegantly said, “I will do my best to represent our side of the negotiations.”

"Thank you, " Alyssa said. "One more thing, if anyone hasn't checked yet. I sent everyone the link to the app you need to download for access to the cameras. It's my own app so no worries about it.”

Ekaterina elegantly nodded and opened her phone to check on the application. After reading and following the instructions she set it up and saw the cameras working. She then help Agent Powers set up the application on his phone.

"What next team leader?" Sartre smirked to Alyssa.

"That's all I had. Anyone have anything else they want to add or discuss?" Alyssa asked, to be sure.

"I have something I want to discuss." Sartre said into the chip. "But not here, you are already ready for your illuminated agent rank, Agent Wilson.”

Alyssa responded, into the chip. "Then after the meeting, in our room." She then waited to see if others had anything else to say.
