“I don’t understand,” said Choi. “So, this actually has occurred? Here or in England?”

"England, but I think it's possibly linked to things going on here. There was a coded message on the CD. I wanted to wait for everyone to be here before diving into it." Alyssa responded.

Dahlia glanced at Choi, surprised at this information. This wasn’t at all what she had expected.

“The information we’ve gathered seems completely different. I’m not sure how it is connected.”

"If the information you found out had to do with vampires, then there is a connection." Alyssa explained.

Choi must have missed that while skimming over the writing. He looked to Dahlia in surprise.

“It seems we’ve stumbled upon a turf war,” she announced, very familiar with turf wars from home. “Several clans of vampires are vying for Gary. Why? I don’t know. Perhaps because it is so destitute.”

“The guy we met at the bar,” Choi explained, “was Mr. Kolchak, aka The Night Stalker. He led us to a guy we could only meet at night. We met him last night at the library.”

Agent Powers looked at Choi and gave him a smolder before he asked, "Night Stalker, eh? Did he by chance say he was a vampire and belonged to a clan or something?"

“He and his partner in investigative journalism were both part of a special forces team called the Night Stalkers,” Choi explained. “The nickname stuck. The guy at the library was the one with teeth.”

Agent Powers rubbed his chin and then replied, "Interesting."

Ekaterina elegantly looked at Agent Powers and asked, "Why is it interesting, Mr. Powers?"

Agent Powers gave Ekaterina a smolder, then a smile as he replied, "Well around three years ago I was doing a thing in North Africa and I ran into a nutjob lady assassin. After we talked we realized we were both assigned to kill the same people and found it funny. So we teamed up and started walking and we came up over this dune, and we saw the ocean... and it was on fire since an oil well was attacked. The whole thing was on fire, and it was beautiful and scary at the same time. So we just sat there and watched it, and that's when I realized there might be a meaning to life, you know, like an organic power that connects all living things, God, Yahweh, I dunno. Anyway we left and hunted our targets down. Then after we confirmed the kills the lady assassin was claiming to be a vampire from the Ass-mite clan or butt bug, I can't remember which one, but anyhow, she drank blood from a near dead merc before she disappeared with the wind. It was trippy and till now I always wondered if it was real."

Ekaterina elegantly smiled at Agent Powers as she said, "Indeed that is an interesting story. What do you think, Dahlia?" Ekaterina elegantly looked at Dahlia.

Dahlia smiled at Kat. Powers was a lucky man if he had given into her charms yet.

"This young man spoke of being attached and waking up with one of the clans. I believe it was the Camarilla. He spoke of the Tower and the Anarchs being in a dispute.”

Choi added, “He also mentioned a group called Sabaat and Tsibisce. Apparently, these factions are branching out from Indy.”

He blamed the shooting on a splinter group of the Anarchs. The target was Sara Simmons,” Dahlia mentioned.

"What did the encrypted message say?" asked Sartre to Alyssa.
