Flirtation Stopped
“Do the flowers on Earth not speak?” One of them asked.
“I’m sure they speak, but perhaps a different language?” The other said.
Kimber finally walked back. “Umbral will come by once she’s done with her coffee.”
“Groovy” he replied flipping the last burger on the stove “your flowers are very nice.”
“They can also be little brats,” Kimber commented.
“We love gossip.” A flower giggled. “We aren’t mean, though.”
“Are you hungry?” Amit asked offering her a cheeseburger on a plate. “Made enough for Umbral too.”
“Umbral already ate.” Kimber said and took a seat. “I, however, could eat an entire cow.”
“Pretty and not afraid to eat, I like that in a girl” he chuckled setting the plates down on the table.
“I’m an alien from a planet of very strong people,” Kimber said with a shrug as she made a plate. “I need to keep my strength up and the only way to do that is eat healthy and keep up my workouts.”
“She’s always working on something,” A flower told Amit.
“Yeah, she never stops.” Another giggled.
“I bet she works in her dreams, too!”
“Silence, you brats!” Kimber blurted, face flushed. They weren’t wrong…
Amit chuckled at her cuteness as he joined her at the table. “ So what do you like to work on?” He asked in genuine curiosity.
“I like cybernetics and plants.” She replied with a shrug and bit into her food. “What do humans like to work on? Aside from dissecting aliens?” It was obvious she did not like humans much, but she wasn’t assaulting him, so there was that to count as a plus. Besides, it was less dislike and more of distrust.
“Only the government does that” he replied before taking a bite. “To answer your question though depends on the human some like art, construction, technology, science ECT.” Me personally I like camping, swimming, surfing, and talking to cute green girls to name a few.”
“Stop flirting with me.” Kimber said stiffly.
