“Okay…” Khun replies stiffly, brushing that lock of hair back again. It simply slides free and drops to her shoulder again in rebellion. “I can wait. It’s fine.” Adjusting her fingerless gloves, she fixes some bandaging beneath them and looks at the sky. The constellations and beauty of it all surprise her and remind her of what it must be like to live out in a place where one can see this all the time. Maybe she will find out, maybe not.

It matters little what happens to her at this point.

She made her choice and now she must face whatever consequences come with it.
