Unease (John/Khunara)

Finally turning onto the long dirt road that would eventually lead to a large fenced off piece of land, Johnathan bit the inside of his cheek. A voice in his head nagged that Cynthia was going to be livid with him once she learned he didn't chase after Lydia. His fingers straightened out, then regripped the steering wheel, unease settling in. "I want to warn you ahead of time, it's going to be a bit of a wait. The main evaluator is going to take a while to get back, so you're welcome to use my guest room until she returns - which should hopefully be by morning." The sun had set by now and darkness surrounded them. The night sky was filled with constellations, and the milky way presented itself in a long stretch of swirling mist and dancing lights.
