The Fence

Downtown - Sheridan, Wyoming

Finlay-Lydia, now in his boxer briefs with an oversized t-shirt that hung past his bottom, clutched his pants and shoes under one arm. Realizing what Lydia intended, he swiftly threw his removed clothes over to the other side of the fence. He was an excellent climber; however, his current form felt unusual and somewhat unbalanced, making maneuvering a challenge.

He reached up for Lydia’s offered hand, grateful for the assistance, and began to climb the fence. With her support, he managed to navigate the obstacle and make it to the other side. Once safely on the ground, he quickly gathered his discarded clothes and looked to Lydia for guidance.

Aware that they needed to hide and evade the pursuing police officers, Finlay-Lydia’s heart raced with the realization that their coordinated efforts might eventually catch up to them. He awaited Lydia’s next move, his mind racing with the need to stay one step ahead and out of sight.
