Awakening...
Khunara is taken aback by Finlay's sudden change, but keeps herself steadfast. Instead of letting this frighten her, she gives the boy that now looks at her a stern expression. “You can’t be anyone but yourself.” She told him. “You may be able to take the form of others, but you are never truly going to be them. You will always be you no matter what face you have.”
It is true, that much she is certain about. Just because she now has some odd power that lets her walk through dreams does not change who she is. She will always be Khunara Takomoto - medic, hospital surgeon, caregiver. Nothing will change that about her.
“You can’t run forever,” She persists. “Staring at the negatives will only make moving forward more difficult. You need to see the good that is around you. People are here to help. You are not alone in this new and strange world, Finlay…Remember that.”
Before she can continue further, Khun’s image fades and she gasps in the real world, brown eyes widening as she fights through the fog that is her mind. Pulling her hand away from the boy’s, she presses her hand to her head and rubs her temple slightly.
She is finally coming back to reality when Johnathan walks in. Looking up at him, her fair cheeks flush as if she is the child caught with their hand in the cookie jar.
***
The moment she feels Malik’s gaze falling on her, Sophia takes a step back, Honey stepping in front of her protectively. Though the wolf-dog shows no aggression, she is on alert. Whenever her companion is uncomfortable, she smells it instantly and must keep the white haired young woman safe.
Upon hearing that Honey can not enter, Sophia backs up even further as a familiar anxiety flows through her. “If Honey cannot go, I will not.” She says sternly. “Where I go, she goes.” She makes sure this is known to all of them, even Perrine when he informs her of the situation. They two are deeply connected and she is unable to handle it when she loses sight of the wolf.
“I will wait out here if I must, but if Honey is unable to go in, I will not enter.” She persists and gives both Malik and Tessa a determined look. One hand falls to the wolf and pets her head gently.
