James and Colt stayed outside with Riley while Megan, Annie and River went inside to check on Loreen. “Good to know she still hates my guts.” The pyro muttered as he finally lit the cigarette and took a long drag from it.

“You’re gonna die of lung cancer…” Colt commented.

“Nah, I’ll be fine.” James replied, looking at Riley. “Is she ever going to get over her hate for me or should I just always be prepared for insults?”

"She doesn't hate you her mind's just not in a good place right now" Riley sighed "she was already starting to relapse and now she found out that her worst nightmare has come back to life again. Canestone broke her He really did and unlike Megan or Susi she didn't have someone there to help her put the pieces back together."

Looking over to the pyro he continued "I plan on getting her some help with Frisk whether she wants it or not, but first I have to focus on helping Susi. She's like a daughter to me and well Alex can't keep going on without her. It was bad enough when Esther left I can't lose any more of my family."

“Esther made it clear she didn’t want any of us to follow, though…” Colt grimaced, remembering seeing that letter.

“Either way, I’m kind of sick of being called things when I’m only trying to help.” James said in a stiff voice. “I didn’t do whatever she remembers me doing…”

"I don't care what she wrote in her letter I'm her father I'm not going to give up on her" Riley stated "I just got to find the right frequency to phase to the hellscape." Reaching over to James he patted him on the shoulder "temporal memory displacement affects people differently some remember it more than others I unfortunately remember all of it. Makes it hard to remember things when you have several lifetimes to remember. Regardless you're not a bad person James we know now that people blame you for a lot of shit that went on in megacorp."

“Yeah,” James muttered, blowing out smoke toward the sky. “Doesn’t Esther remember all of it, too?”

“I think she did,” Colt answered. “I didn’t interact much with her, but she did seem to speak of other lives or something. I don’t get why Shimo left her…the prick.”

"Doesn't matter he got what was coming to him for hurting her" Riley replied remembering that trip he took with Lyle "back to the present we need to figure out who's going to the prison and staying here especially with Canestone loose."

“We all know Klaire is staying.” James chuckled. “She wouldn’t leave those kids alone for more than a few hours and even then she’s constantly worrying about ‘em.”

“I’ll go,” Colt said, rubbing the back of his neck. “I need to just…get away from this drama for a bit.”

"Sounds good I know there's no way Alex will sit this one out but I'll talk to Joel about keeping an eye on the place as well" Riley replied "Gelf and them should be meeting up with us soon."

“You mean teleporting crazy lady, the water kid, and animal chick?” Colt asked.

James rolled his eyes. “They have names.”

“That I never remember because we don’t hang out with them enough!” Colt retorted.

“Keep Colt from accidentally falling off a cliff…” James muttered.

"I've known Gelf for a while and have hung out with them Kiana and Sorely are nice granted the boy can be a bit dense." Riley admitted.

“I’m gonna stay here - keep the place safe.” James explained. “Just be careful. We don’t need you getting stabbed again, Riley.”

“How many times has it been now?” Colt chuckled. “I bet River has kept count.”

"I'll be fine I've got the best healing factor out of all of us" Riley replied nonchalantly "what about Megan? Colt no offense but your sister either needs to get laid or blow some steam so killing guards might help."

“I’ll go ask her…” Colt said and went into the cabin.

Megan would soon be outside, weapons in hand and ready. “When do we go?!” She asked. Colt followed her, but kept his distance. “I’m ready to kill a fucker!”

James moved away and put out his cigarette before heading into the cabin.

"Case in point" he chuckled looking at Colt.

Alex soon came outside carrying server duffel bags "when are the others showing up."
