JP - They both need more therapy and time in a sauna
Alex looked at Megan "how would I crash in your room until Colt shows up I'm sure by now Joel and Annie are passed out."
“I’d rather not even risk sleeping in that room…” Megan groaned and blinked as Colt opened the door. “Speak of the devil…”
Colt raised an eyebrow, brushing back his wild hair. “What I miss?” He asked in a nonchalant tone, but gave Tzeitel his usual smile.
Piritta inspected Colt critically. “You need time in a sauna and so much more therapy than you got. Her too.” She nodded at Tzeitel.
Tzeitel scowled, though she would kill for a sauna. “Turns out Riley has a twin brother in MegaCorp. Also we’re going to be heading to Frisk for checkups and settling down somewhere.”
Alex patted Megan on the shoulder "here you can crash in my room then" he said waving goodnight to Riley, Amber and River before heading out.
“Right…” Colt muttered and scratched at his chin. “How are you, though, Tzeitel?” Ever since Feng left he had made Tzeitel and the kids his top priority most of the time. Sure, he ran off to do stupid shit at times, but he always came back. He could never abandon them.
Megan nodded and hugged Alex. “Thanks.” She sighed.
“I’m looking forward to not having to move all the time. I’m fine.” Tzeitel lied.
Ami gave Colt a look, “Hän valehtelee.” She muttered to Colt.
Colt stared at Ami before crossing his arms and frowning at Tzeitel. “Be honest with me.” He said in that warning tone of his.
Tzeitel scowled. “Fine, I overdid it in the gym again. And got a little drunk- but it was only one small bottle of moonshine.”
Colt sighed heavily and muttered something under his breath. “Why do you always do this to yourself, Tzeitel? If you keep pushing yourself like that, you…” He had to hold back his anger, biting it back. All he wanted was to keep her and the kids safe, to keep her healthy and happy. It seemed he couldn’t even succeed at that. “Just…let's get some rest.” He turned away, pushing his hands through his hair.
“You don’t always cope healthily either.” Tzeitel muttered back, leading Ami towards their room.
Cody followed. “You both don’t cope in healthy ways. Piritta is right, you need therapy and a sauna.” He said in a sleepy tone.
“I don’t need a fuckin’ sauna.” Colt growled as he opened the door to his room. Looking back at Tzeitel, his expression and tone softened. “Get some good sleep, okay?”
Tzeitel’s expression softened too. Colt was her oldest friend and she cared about him. “Maybe you should try talking to Leimomi when we’re in the area…”
Ami thrust the swear jar at Colt.
Colt shrugged. “Maybe…” He absently tossed some money into the jar for Ami.
“We’re gonna be rich by the time you hit your teens, Ami…” Cody chuckled.
“She helped me a lot…” Tzeitel awkwardly told Colt.
Ami nodded, smiling but her smile did not reach her eyes.
Cody stared at Ami, wishing he knew what was wrong. “How about I get Ami to bed and you relax?” He suggested to Tzeitel with a smile.
“Okay.” Tzeitel said, tousling Cody’s hair affectionately.
Ami moved ahead to the room.
Cody followed Ami and gently set a hand on her shoulder. “What’s wrong?” He asked softly. “I can tell something’s bugging you, sis…”
“Tzeitel overdid it in the gym again, and was drinking… Why does she keep hurting herself?” Ami asked. “You know.”
Cody shifted in discomfort and shoved his hands into his pockets. “It’s something she told me I can’t tell you, Ami…I want to - I really do - but I don’t want to ruin the trust she has in me. Just know that…bad things happened that have…left scars. Not just physical ones, but mental ones. When people are in a lot of emotional pain or under a lot of stress from trauma, they tend to do self-destructive things…”
“She didn’t just tell you. You read about it in her file.” Ami narrowed her large black eyes.
“I know…” Cody grimaced, shoulders hunching. “Ami, I promised…she doesn’t want you to know about some of the things in there.” A part of him just wanted to put his mind on the memory so Ami could just pull the information from him. He was too scared of how she might react, though.
Pulling information from people was not as easy as from a book or a file, or even a Ouija board. Also it was messily invasive and Ami did not like it. She sighed. “How can I help her if I can’t even know what happened to her?”
Cody pinched the bridge of his nose and sat down on Ami’s bed, trying to figure that part out. “I…I don’t know what can help her, honestly.” He said with a sigh. “I mean…hngh…if I tell you, you have to promise she never knows it was me…” His voice was a whisper. “I know where she hides her file about it…”
Ami folded her arms. “She hides her file in a locked box along with the journals she has not sent to Frisk for safekeeping. I’d need the key.”
