JP - Nightmares and Purring

Alex smiled and led Megan back to his room before hopping into the shower.

Megan happily followed Alex to his room and when he came out of the bathroom, she would be passed out on the couch.

Alex looked down at Megan before picking her up and laying her down on the bed before taking the couch himself. For the first time in 5 years he felt hopeful in seeing Susi again.

Megan would wake up in the middle of the night, screaming and flailing in the bed as if she were being attacked. “No! No! NO!” She cried out, tears spilling down her face. “Not again! Not again!”

Alex woke up and rushed over pulling her into a hug " Megan it's ok you're safe no one is going to hurt you" he spoke trying to calm her down.

Megan struggled at first, but upon recognizing Alex’s voice she started to calm down. Breathing ragged, she clung tightly to him and kept crying. “It hurt…it hurt so bad…” She whispered, referring to what her lover had done to her five years ago. If not for Tzeitel and the others helping her, she was sure she’d be dead…

Alex nodded and laid down with her keeping her in the hug. He remembered storming the hive with the others. " You're safe now I'll never let anyone else hurt you again."

“Why did he do that? Why betray me like that?” Megan said through a sniffle and curled up into a ball against Alex. “I loved him and he just…” She shook her head to try and block out the horrible memory of that day, of the hours she spent being used and hurt. By the time they got her to Frisk she had been too delirious and scared to even fight back.

"I don't know Megan" Alex replied holding her close" but they can never hurt you again. Tzeitel saw to his death and Riley and me saw to the destruction of the hive."

Megan nodded against his chest, just letting the tears fall until she fell asleep again. This time, as she slumbered, she softly purred.

Alex smiled and kissed the top of her head covering them both up with the blanket. It wasn't the first time he had to lay down with her to help her with her nightmares. She had also done the same with him when it came to his own. Closing his eyes he soon drifted off to sleep to the sound of her purring.

They would sleep until morning…
