JP - Escape the to Hellscape

Anastasia pressed into Riley’s chest, clinging tightly to him as she kept crying. “It hurts…it hurts…” She whimpered.

Riley held her close and he ran to the medical bay to meet up with Cook and the others. “Do you have what I asked for? I also need some painkillers and antibiotics.”

Min looked at the man who had been in a wheelchair earlier, and the woman in his arms. She was clearly the woman who had been screaming. Min knew it was the same monster that tortured her that had hurt her, she could tell by the raw skin. The woman was bleeding a lot, too. Min gulped.

"Elizabeth, stay with Min." Cook said as he loaded a shotgun and went toward the rude doctors from earlier. A few threats later, he had everything they needed and more in a duffel bag. "Let's get out of he-"

The doctor he'd been threatening just seconds later suddenly exploded into a mist of blood, flesh, and scattered bones. "Wanna play?" A familiar voice asked from the doorway.

Min gasped and seemed to shrink as she tried to hide from the guy who just made the doctor explode.

Riley handed Anastasia to cook before placing himself in between Nero and the others "I'm in no mood to play boy walk away."

“I can’t do that.” Nero tilted his head to the side at an odd and what should have been painful angle. “Dad says I have to stop you…or he’ll lock me up in the dark room. I hate the dark room.” Making the bones shudder, he split them into little shards. “So lets play, speedster guy!” There was that child-like tone again, as if he had been raised to believe this was normal.

Riley vanished striking Nero at multiple angels almost at once. He wasn't going to let Thrane get his hands on her again.

Every hit only made Nero laugh until he finally reached out and grabbed Riley by the neck. “I was right about you! You’re awesome at playing!” He laughed again.

“Riley!” Anastasia cried, scared for him.

Riley kicked Nero in the face using the distraction to break out of his grip and getting some distance between them.

Nero spat out blood and chuckled, looking Riley as flesh began to harden from the dead doctor and form armor around his body.

Cook moved Riley out of the way and lifted a gun, shooting at Nero. A large tranquilizer dart would stab into Nero’s chest before the armor could cover it. “That’ll only slow him down for so long, Riley! We need to go!”

Riley nodded and moved back to the others "everyone hold on tight to me I've never tried to phase this many people."

Elizabeth grabbed onto Min, gently picking her up and going to Riley, grabbing onto his arm. “Got it.”

Cook nodded as he did the same, shouldering the duffel bag of supplies and keeping a hold of Anastasia.

Min did not know what Riley meant by ‘phase’, but the only people who were kind to her seemed to trust him so she weakly grasped the speeder’s arm.

Riley grabbed onto Anastasia before phasing. The world became a blur. Within seconds they were gone from this world. They soon found themselves in a cave by an underground lake. Looking around Riley smiled before collapsing. As he didn't have the energy to stand.

Min looked around, confused and disoriented. “Where are we?” She asked.

"Hellscape" Riley panted from the ground "it's an alternate dimension My daughter rules over. Thrane can't get here and even if he did he's no match for Esther on her home turf."

Min did not think Riley looked old enough to have a daughter that ruled over anything, but she was not going to argue with the guy. Hopefully it was better than MegaCorp. But it was called Hellscape…

Riley crawled over to where Anastasia was to check on her.

During the phasing process, Anastasia had passed out. She was still bleeding and in a lot of pain, but could not stay awake any longer.

Cook gently set her down next to Riley and got to work on her injuries. “I’ll do what I can for her…” He told the speedster.

Elizabeth was very gentle as she found a safe spot to set Min down. Mutating her body a bit, she created bat ears and made a few clicks toward the rear of the cave. “Looks like no one is here. Good.” She said calmly. “So…who is Esther and why is she in charge here?”

They had no clue what it was like outside at the moment. From a distance, standing on a floating platform, Esther had felt their arrival and was watching the cave silently.

Riley began explaining everything about Esther and the hellscape as he grabbed some towels and water to clean up Anastasia as best as he could. "Cook do you have the medicine?"

“Yeah, but she can’t take it until she wakes up. I don’t want her choking.” Cook said with a heavy sigh. He looked at Anastasia with worry.

“Are we gonna be safe here, though?” Elizabeth asked as she sat down next to Min. “I mean…is it safe to be in her…uh…home?”

"It's been 5 years our time since I've been here I'm not sure how different the place has changed because it has time dilation" Riley admitted as he helped rest Anastasia's injuries " I'm hoping she'll come to us." Once he was done he cleaned himself off "Cook do you have any clothes I'm pretty sure Esther doesn't want to see me naked."

“How many years will it have been for Esther?” Elizabeth asked as she made sure Min was okay.

Cook dug in the duffel bag and handed Riley some clothes.

"I'm not sure if the time dilation stays the same or fluctuates" Riley replied getting dressed and fishing out some clothes for Anastasia"could be 60 seconds or 60 years for all I know."

Elizabeth went over and helped get Anastasia dressed before returning to Min. “Weird…what if she doesn’t come here? To us?”

Min was feeling sore and feeling disoriented but was as well as could be expected. She watched Anastasia worriedly, understanding what kind of pain she was going to be in when she woke up all too well.

"Then we'll have to find the core it's the likely place she'll be" Riley replied in an exhausted tone. Between Nero, Canestone, and Coral he was tapped out of energy. He shuddered as his mind thought of Coral. How was he going to explain it to River that he knocked her up?
