JP - A real Veterinarian's Office
“Will they stay hush-hush about it?” Coral asked as she held poor Bronte down. “I don’t want MegaCorp finding out about us.”
“They won’t talk after we leave.” Clonestone said, patting his gun. “It’s number 79.”
“Okay then,” Coral said. “Just get us there so they’ll help Bella.”
Clonestone pulled up in front of the veterinarian. His timing was good, the receptionist was out on their break and the only person there was the vet. Clonestone turned his skin pale and wrinkly, then gently carried Bella inside, his gun stuffed in the waistband of his pants.
“Good luck,” Coral told him before he left the car with Bella.
As for said dog-girl, she nuzzled into Clonestone’s chest, whimpering at the pain of being moved.
Clonestone found the vet, and pointed the gun at him. “You’re gonna fix my dog’s leg!”
The vet froze and looked at the gun before looking at Bella. “That’s a…dog?” He asked.
“Yes.” Clonestone gently set Bella down on an exam table. “Fix her leg!”
Flinching, the vet got to work on Bella's leg without question. He got it set and casted carefully, even giving her some medicine for the pain. "She should heal in a month or two…"
“Is there anything else you can do for her?” Clonestone asked.
The vet shook his head no and took a step back, worry and fear in his eyes.
Bella nuzzled into Clonestone’s hand, whining for attention.
With one hand Clonestone stroked Bella’s ears to comfort her, while he emptied his gun into the vet with the other hand. He scooped Bella up in his arms and carried her to the car without a backwards glance.
Coral had taken the time to enjoy herself with Bronte while Clonestone was busy and looked out the window when Clonestone returned. “Did you kill the vet?” She asked in an excited tone and helped him get Bella settled into the passenger seat.
Bronte was gagging.
“Yeah.” Clonestone said, making sure Bella was as comfortable as possible.
“Good,” Coral said with a smile and patted the top of Bronte’s head. “Oh, calm down, what I did is nothing compared to what my friend here would do to you!”
Bronte hated these people.
Clonestone started driving. “We’ll probably have to sleep in the car tonight.”
“Fine by me,” Coral said and pet Bella. “Oh, look at you. All bandaged up and adorable. Don’t worry, you’ll heal up soon!” Turning her attention back to Bronte, she annoyed him by pinching him all over.
Bronte squirmed. “Help is coming for me.”
Clonestone kept driving, keeping an eye out for a good place to pull over for the night.
The girl in the trunk whimpered.
Coral laughed harshly. “I HIGHLY doubt that, pretty boy! Do they even know where you are? Is there a tracker in this thing?” She grabbed at his collar.
“Don’t!” Bronte cried, not wanting to have these people’s thoughts in his head.
Coral blinked at his sudden outburst and slapped him. “Who are you to tell me what to do?! You broke Bella’s leg!”
“It was an accident!” Bronte protested, though he thought it would do him little good. “She jumped on me while I was driving!”
“You didn’t buckle her in, did you?” Coral asked, making sure Bella was buckled in just in case of an accident.
“I thought she knew how to buckle herself in!” Bronte said, “I didn’t hurt her on purpose!”
Clonestone found a likely place to pull off the road.
“Likely story,” Coral pinched Bronte again and dragged him out of the car once they were parked. “I’m taking him a bit away to play!” She told Clonestone. With her water, she basically swam herself and Bronte off to “play” as she put it in the nearby tall grass.
Bella could only watch and wish she could help.
“Please don’t.” Bronte pleaded.
Clonestone carried Bella a ways from the road and set her down where she would be comfortable with some food and water. He then went back for the girl in the trunk.
Bella covered her ears and closed her eyes tightly, trying to block out all the horrible things happening to Bronte and the girl…
Poor Bronte.
After using the girl, Clonestone tied her to a tree and fell into a deep sleep.
Coral would eventually take Bronte back to the car and leave him in the back seat while she watched over Bella. The entire night, the poor dog girl was trying to think of ways to help Bronte and the other woman, but could not think of a way with this water wench watching her.
The girl did not sleep, but lapsed into unconsciousness.
Clonestone snored in his sleep.
Bronte tried to squirm out of the car, but could barely move.
