JP - The Keep - Dormitory - Miyuki's Room - Pie

Alex knocked on Miyuki's door pie in hand.

Miyuki opened the door enough to peek out, her hair practically hiding her face. “Yes?” She asked.

"I thought you might be hungry and I wanted to make sure you're ok" Alex replied.

“I should be fine,” Miyuki answered and opened the door properly. “Alex…is…is there a way to get rid of the fur on my…body? Not my tail and ears, but just my…body?”

"I'd have to check some of books on cosmetic magic" Alex answered entering and setting the pie down "why would you want to do that?"

“Less fur means less…washing and hassle and…shedding.” She replied and sat down, staring at the pie on her plate.

"Or is there a different reason?" Alex asked sitting across from her "I won't judge if there is but personally I think you're perfect just the way you are."

“I’d rather not talk about it. I just want what I want.” Miyuki said, finally taking a bite of the pie. “This is very good.”

"Figured it would help" Alex chuckled "if this is something you're serious about I'll help."

“I merely want to feel a bit more…comfortable.” Miyuki admitted. Yes, it upset her that Lek had so easily chosen not to give her a chance, but she wasn’t going to let it put her down. She had to fight the depression and upset it conjured within her. Taking another bite, she enjoyed the taste of the pie. “I’ve never really fit in with most of those with fur anyway. I wear clothes too much or something like that…”

Alex nodded in understanding "as long as you're sure about this. Might take me a little bit. I want to make sure this magic doesn't harm your child."

“If it has to wait until my child is born, that’s fine.” Miyuki looked down and rubbed her belly. This was the reason she wouldn’t let her pain get in the way.

"Just know that you can talk to me or Beatrix about anything" Alex replied, placing a hand on her shoulder.

Over the past month Miyuki had come to trust Alex a bit more, but the relationship she had with him was like that of a sibling now. Despite his original interest, he had found Beatrix and it was obvious they both loved each other. Though, the cat woman was always avoiding the bed with him, she loved him, and that was just an easily seen fact.

“Thank you, Alex…” Miyuki sighed and hugged her stomach. “I feel I’m never given a chance by the people I find interest in. They either never have interest in me or they hurt me…”

Alex nodded and pulled her into a gentle hug. He still cared and loved her but not in the way he used to. He did see her as family though just like she did for him. "My mother used to say when I was younger that sometimes you have to be hurt before you can be healed. I know things didn't work out with Lek but perhaps later down the line either him or someone else will see you for the beautiful,kind, and caring person you are."

She hugged him back the best she could with her baby bump and nodded slowly. “I do hope we can get this fur dealt with, though. My baths are…” Miyuki had to clear her throat. “Two hours along due to it…”

"Well luckily it should be straightforward cosmetics spells are usually the simplest to learn" Alex chuckled.

Miyuki just gazed at him in confusion, not quite understanding. "I just want the fur gone everywhere but my tail and ears…"

Hopefully, this magic could help her with that.

“I should have the spell for it just drop my room in the evening time and I’ll have it all prepared” Alex replied standing up “if you’ll excuse me I have to see a dwarf about a ring.”

“A ring?” Miyuki tilted her head to the side. “Are you…you’re gonna ask Beatrix to marry you, aren’t you?!” She blurted with a big smile.

"I honestly wouldn't be here if it wasn't for her" Alex admitted "the past month I've spent with her has been some of the best of my life and I know she's the one."

Miyuki nodded with a tired smile. “That’s good. She obviously loves you, Alex.”
