Setting the Scene - Buckley Village - Eight Months after the Raid

Most of the buildings had been burned to the ground, a few still had partial structures. Strangely two buildings remained intact, the seamstress’s shop near the middle of the village, and the Black Raven Tavern near the docks. Both buildings had a sensation of suffering to them, but the Black Raven felt particularly evil.

While the seamstress shop looked dusty and stained from soot from the fires, the Black Raven Tavern was completely unblemished, as if it had sprouted from the ground long after the raid had ended. What is more remarkable, if anyone were to ignore the malevolence and go into the tavern, they would find the bar to be fully stocked, more drink and even food stored in the cellar below, luxurious beds in the rooms on the floor above.

The seamstress shop had been thoroughly looted, but a floor mirror was left behind, positioned at the end of a bloodstained work table. There were clumps of bloody blond hair and torn cloth on the floor. Something really bad had happened here during the raid.
