History

Melyor was orphaned when she was very young. She started to work for the Verrick family doing easy chores in exchange for a place to sleep, clothes, and food. It was clear early on that she was very smart and quick thinking and it was decided that she should become a lady's maid for Kerensa. The two grew up together and are still very close. When Kerensa married Jago, she brought Melyor with her. Melyor learned from the other servants what Jago is like and tried to be careful, but he still cornered her one night while he was drunk. She managed to get away from him but was too humiliated by him touching her to say anything to Kere about it, but she was pretty sure that Kere could guess what almost happened. Melyor wanted to leave but did not want to leave Kere alone with that man. So Melyor stayed. She tried to help Kere as best she could but the situation was just terrible. It was actually a relief when Kere caught her husband torturing that girl and she beat the hell out of him. So now Melyor is on the run with Kere, the mute girl, and Kere's two babies.
