Mia was once a loving, carefree woman who only wanted to help ensure humanity survived. Then she was abducted, enslaved, and led a rebellion that turned her into a cold and merciless warrior.

History

Mia Massey while in high school had absolutely no idea what she wanted to study in college, or if she even wanted to attend college. Her father was a cop, her mother a prosecuting attorney, she knew she wanted to do something important, but nothing spoke to her. While she went to the Vault-Tec booth at a career fair, the representatives there showed her what she needed to do. She attended Vault-Tec University.

She spent four years learning and breathing Vault-Tec. She was even awarded a field posting to the Vault-Tec Agricultural Research Center. When she graduated, she had a degree in engineering with honors in the overseer track. Her studies also included courses in expression, circuitry, commercial geography, physical training, computer science, mechanical drawing, and first aid.

After she graduated, she was assigned to oversee the construction of her Vault which started shortly after she graduated and had a say in who was allowed to enter her Vault. After the Vault finished construction, she left for work before dawn to check over everything before the final inspection the following day. She never made it to the Vault because aliens abducted her.

The aliens put her into cryostasis when she woke up, she had no clue how much time had passed. She found herself on an alien planet with other humans, some of whom had been there for over a decade. There was one who looked and sounded like he came out of a Western film.

For two years she slaved away under the oppression of her alien slave masters. She began seeing the cowboy romantically as best as they could under the circumstances. Their romance was forbidden, which made it all the hotter for the two of them. One day her cowboy was yanked from the fields they were working on and publicly executed. No one knew why but that execution may have ended his life, but it gave birth to a rebellion. Shortly after the ashes of his body hit the ground Mia snapped and killed one of the aliens with what she called an alien pitchfork. She took his weapon and started shooting other aliens. Others joined her after seeing their oppressors were killable. A year into the rebellion, Mia was stabbed in the eye by a collaborator with an alien fork. The very facility where she lost her eye also was responsible for a variety of cybernetic implants. She had her eye replaced with a cybernetic implant. Over the next five years, she returned to get more and more implants, including replacing a perfectly good eye.

For five years Mia led a bloody, ruthless campaign to free all the slaves and kill the alien bastards. No alien was safe from the rebellion. Human collaborators were forced to endure torture so terrible it left them a blubbering husk incapable of doing anything but rock back and forth in a fetal position crying until they died from dehydration.

Once every human was freed and the aliens were all dead or fled to parts unknown, Mia forced an alien pilot they took hostage to take them back home. To ensure that the alien did not betray them at least two people were always left out of cryostasis on a rotating schedule. Mia along with one another took the first rotation. Only the thought of home kept her from killing the alien bastard then and there. After a year, she went into cryostasis after waking up someone to replace her.

Upon arrival on Earth, everyone was awakened. She got the alien bastard to show her how to teleport people down to Earth. While the alien bastard transported everyone to Earth, she studied the device, she worked out the way to transport back to the ship if she needed to. Once she figured that out, she no longer needed the bastard. She pushed the alien blaster she had between its eyes, led it to the chamber where they did the probing, and probed it to death. It died screaming for what only she could hope for was mercy.

She teleported to the Vegas area, she always wanted to go, and she had planned to after the inspection was complete, assuming the Vault did not need to be used before she could leave. She was not happy at all when she saw the state of the Mojave Wasteland.
