Maru Caravensarai
You all gather around the sketch that Boyce Blackwolf, finding your friends is the priority of course, so none of you voice the obvious question on how the scholar from the Great Library of Orb, came to have such readily available information having been in Maru for less than three days. The sketches have been drawn hastily, but are clear and made in a steady penmanship. It seems to show the surrounding area , along with some tunnels and caves, depicting and confirming what Balt told you back in Aquillo. Fang is indeed criss-crossed by an ancient underground system of caves, that connected its different areas, forts and strongholds.
There is one such entrance in the fort. Although you have not found it yet, you are convinced it will be the easiest of the entrances to the Deep to discover, as long as its not sealed by crumbling masonry.
Another entrance into what the Odonine call the Ypogeios is located on day journey up the right cliff-face of the Maru canyon, the opposite hill that Wim, Islana and Boyce took to reach the Fire-Shrine, when following the boy Kaithak a few days ago.
And finally two days north from Maru, deeper into the valley below, a huge cave might also lead into the underground system. This of course if you believe the veracity of Boyce Blackwolf's findings, although you know you have very little options available to you. This was always going to be a matter of hope and faith.
After a short discussion you decide that you should not waste any further day light. Luckily the Spring days in the mountains are long and you know you will have a few more hours of daylight.
Boyce and Wim, will continue to conduct a search of the Fort. They have been here longer and with Boyce expertise will be the most suitable for the task.
Hunter, not trusting the newcomer and seeing himself as the most skilful warrior among the group, elects to keep an eye on Alcuin as they travel to the valley below. Islana will join them.
Alexis and Gonyaul, will explore the grotto on the right hand side cliff, one day travel above Maru.
They agree that they will look for Voah and Tarmen for as long as they can without endangering their own safety. They agree that if in the next five days they cannot find any traces of their companions they will return to Maru...
