Being Filled In
JP with Redsword, Lorem, Jaxx and Cindy
Islana had been glad to see River again and introduced the palomino to the falcon. Couldn't say that went great, as River seemed a little jealous. But it was amusing when Kaithak landed on River's back. They'd get used to each other, Islana assumed.
The trio of Islana, Boyce and Wim ascended down the mountain. Kaithak flew overhead, circling around as if it had spotted prey.
The young huntress didn't think much of it, as it was in the bird's nature, until a call came from the falcon as if it was a warning. Looking down, Islana spotted movement at the fort. She said, to the two men. "There are people down there."
From there it was a proceed with caution method, keeping an eye towards the people, as they moved closer towards their destination.
Several minutes later, her gaze caught sight of the long dark hair, and the outfit of ...."That's Gonyaul.".
Gonyaul seemed to be looking straight at her, as well.
What were they doing here? Islana hoped nothing was wrong but she had a bad feeling about this.
They had just finished helping one another set up their campsite for the night when Malacost spotted and warned of a trio of individuals descending towards them off in the distance. As they cautiously prepared for what could be another dangerous encounter, Gonyaul was the first to recognize the fiery red hair of the leader of the group.
He erupted into excited action and mounted Amu enthusiastically to go ride out to them. Amu didn’t budge. Gonyaul tried to get the horse to go; however, Amu just turned her head and gave him the expression of ~I am done for the day. Go ride yourself~
Not to be discouraged, Gonyaul dismounted and took off at a full sprint towards Islana. He was smiling and waving his hands, but not making any sounds because his throat was still recovering.
Hunter quietly watched as Malacost saw the trio as fast as he did. Each day the prospector gave away that he had a large skill set besides panhandling gold. Hunter then dismounted and secured his and Gonyaul's horse to provide them water and food since they were tired from the long ride. He knew Alexis and Gonyaul would provide the others with what was going on.
As soon as Islana spotted Gonyaul running towards her, she moved River faster towards him.
With a "Woah" and a pull back of the reins. River stopped. Islana jumped of the back off the horse. In order to greet her friend.
In true Gonyaul behavior, his overjoyed feelings gave him the momentum to embrace Islana and twirled her one time around before balancing her back to the ground.
He bowed and signed to Boyce and Wim. His smile was contagious. He signed while he talked, his voice was faint and slightly labored. They may notice the large bruises in the shape of hands on his neck. “Miss you all.”
Seeing Gonyaul and the others Wolf also stopped behind Islana a little bit back and raised his hand in greeting. "Gonyaul, greeting, How are you both?" Wolf called out. he heard his raspy voice and wondered what had happened. Wolf saw Hunter over by the horses and Rode over and dismounted. "Hunter, good day. Good to see both of you well," said Wolf with a smile.
Gonyaul was still smiling when he replied, “No good. On rescue.”
Islana shouldn't be surprised by now that Gonyaul did that but she was caught off guard, mostly the twirl. Not to mention, hugging like that was kind of next level for her.
Hugging was reserved for Gonyaul and Alexis and being Gonyaul she gave it to him. Besides, it was good to see him as well.
"Rescue? Who? And what happened to your throat?"
Hunter nodded at Wolf as he replied, "Tis good to see you as well. I wish it was under better circumstances."
Wolf cocked an eyebrow, "better circumstances?" asked Wolf Hunter with curiosity. Wolf helped with the horses.
Gonyaul was calming down from the wonderful surprise of them safe and present. He lightly touched his sore neck. “Big man almost kill me.” He didn’t seem bothered by that announcement and continued.
His expression turned to concern as he spilled the news on why they were there. “Voah and Tar Man (he said it wrong) lost in caves and we told come here best chance to find.”
Islana expression grew to one of concern as Gonyaul filled her in. It took her a moment. Then she said, "Caves? Did you say caves?"
"Hunter, I was here earlier this is where we set up camp it's a good spot and it is getting late," said Wolf still listening to Gonyaul too.
He nodded hoping they perhaps already knew where an entrance was. He began pantomiming as he tried to explain what they experienced in the belly of the earth to Islana. His voice was weakening the longer he was talking.
He ended the truncated version by inquiring, “So need to go under the ground soon as possible. You know how get there?”

"You should rest your throat. I need to do something. I'll find you in a few minutes.". Without much more of an explanation, Islana got back on River and headed towards Wolf and Hunter. "Hunter, it's good to see you again though I wish things were different. Boyce, can I speak to you for a moment, alone."
Hearing of the caves Wolf said nothing yet. He wondered how he could say something without exposing what had happened.
Gonyaul nodded and stopped talking. He jogged back to the camp. Her response made him think they knew something that would be helpful.
He started getting his gear ready for spelunking and grabbed hold of Voah’s sword before coming back to where the others were. He was ready to go right now it seemed.
Hearing Islana request Wolf walked over to her. "What can I do for you?" Wolf inquired.
Once Islana got Boyce alone, she said, "You need to tell Alexis what happened. We can trust her. It might be the only way to save Voah and Tarmen."
Gonyaul was standing there patiently off to the side. All dressed up for cave diving with nowhere to go yet.
" Islana, I don't know about that. I think the fewer people know the better. But I can say by studying the ruins here I could have some ideas or an understanding of the area and people. You know I will help in any way I can to get our friends back." explained Wolf.
With some explanation of Wolf thought "If someone hears of what happened and investigates that will put our friends in danger," said Wolf with concern.
The man made a valid point and without coming right out and saying what secret Alexis had about her, Islana wasn't sure how to get Wolf to change his mind.
"I just think it would be faster to just show her your drawings but I understand your point." She sighed, it wasn't her vision. She couldn't tell Alexis probably enough about it to be of use.
In what was probably true to form for the young woman had just wanted to help.
Spotting Gonyaul dressed up and ready to go she walked back by him and said to her friend.
"I know your eager to go but shouldn't there be a plan first?"
Gonyaul was ready for that question, “Plan is go down, get them. Come back up. Is simple plan, but works.”
