Celebrations Part 6

Wim jumped as Hunter approached and spoke. Recovering he spoke, "She does seem happy. I expect we will have the entire town here soon."
His voice was concerned.

Hunter smirked as Wim jumped a bit. Then he asked, "So this is Voah's Natalday? I never celebrated one before."

Wim nodded now on board.

"Ah, that makes sense. My family throws big parties. Lots of people, lots of food and drink," he said.

-----

Yet another distraction in their conversation, but one that fed Tarmen’s jovial mood. Seeing someone dancing on a barrel and belting a song drew him in and he had to excuse himself.

“Just a thought, though currently I would very much enjoy a mug and a good song.”

Doing just as he said, he downed it before performing a dance of his own. Kicking and swinging in time with the man’s tune, Tarmen was well on his way to forgetting many of his troubles.

-----

Gonyaul was resolute to finish the song before getting down. Even if urged by Boyce. He just smiled mischievously and went all the way to the end.

“aw nubik ag ukoy usamiran, ē, ē ihsataw ag ettodo uri ikot on atak ag ī, ē, e e etihsos, ahihcatihsataw ohssi in erok o uanoko otok ag usamiked ettodo uri ikot aw nubik ag ukoy uran in ianiagihc… iniust atihsanabet ikot etihsos, atana aw onos oros o usamihsorok atana ag ukagno o etiik arakuri uatu, ā, ē, ā nihsij ag arakura, biebī etihsos o irihs o usamihsaruy ihcatihsataw aw atana ag eros o urus otok ag uriked otok o ettihs atihsami uatu, ā, ē, ā… “

When he finished he hopped down. Satisfied now to let Boyce keep the music going.

When Gonyaul left the barrel Wolf walked over, still playing and singing. He winked at Islana then took his foot and pushed the barrel over. Wolf jumped up on the side of it. Wolf started walking on the barrel and rolling it around still, singing and playing his archlute. Balancing and trying to keep all of his music going.

Blackwolf didn't miss a beat, which was impressive but also didn't surprise Islana. Then the man who had been speaking with Alexis started dancing. It was definitely becoming more of a celebration.

-----

Wim smiled at Voah and poured her that drink. Passing it over.
"For good fortunes," he said.

Wim spoke to Voah, "Would you like lumber for your shrine? As a gift and donation?"

Voah applauded and took the drink from Wim. She spoke a little louder over the sound of jubilation, "Lumber? Perhaps if the shrine was permanent. I don't expect we will have time to build it but I do wonder how long it will last after I'm gone. But thank you kindly."

Wim bowed to her in acknowledgement.

"I was meaning to ask you. How do you feel about going into the toiletries business, or a bathhouse perhaps?" she asked. "Soaps? Perfumes?"
