Celebrations Part 4

Gonyaul took a sigh of relief to show Islana with more than just words. The ice had been broken and the nerves from the anticipation had been broken. He nodded, “Yes, thank you.“

He looked around at all the people that had gathered there since the start. This was wonderful, a much better approach than that of this war business.

“May I get you eat and drinks?” He offered Islana.

Islana smiled, glad her friend was feeling better about this. She understood what it felt like to feel out of your element.

Food and drink sounded good.

"Yes, please but no fermented goat's milk." The redhead half joked,

When it came to alcohol, the young woman tended to stick to things like ale. She had heard the milk threw quite the punch and getting drunk was not something she wanted to experience.

Gonyaul smiled and was off to retrieve for her. He had that bouncing pop to his step as he weaved through the people at the campsite.

Islana took a seat by the fire, the woman was easy enough to spot that she didn't worry about it, figuring Gonyaul would be back soon, Islana didn't want him having to run all over the place to find her.

Hunter took his time getting some food and a refill of water. He listened to the guests socialize and gather in their small groups.

Gonyaul got an abdominal workout bowing to so many people on his way to the roasting goat. He was able to acquire the meat, there were some fruits and nuts that Nicolaus had laid out, and something from Wim’s wagon. He didn’t know what the drink was but Wim spoke highly of it.

He made his way back to the spot he left Islana. And she wasn’t there. He easily spotted her and came up alongside.

“Looks good.” He said while offering them for her to take.

"Thank you," Islana said.

It did look good. It tasted even better as she took a bite. Her eyes constantly watching the people around them.

"Are celebrations like this, where your from?" Curious about it, if he could share that.

He took a seat. And enjoyed people watching.

“Yes, not on day of birth. But lots of ceremonies. Much formal. Many songs and dances.”

Gonyaul's response made a lot of sense, considering how the man was normally outgoing at parties. Islana sometimes wished she could be more like that, but the young woman wasn't there yet. Still, tonight was mostly people she knew, it made it easier.

Voah nearly tripped over Markus as she made her way to greet Tarmen.

"Forgive me, Master Norixius. I was... I'm just overexcited." she chuckled. "Thank you for making this extra special!"

She wasn't aware that he had brought the food for Alexis' party, but she didn't need to know that.

"Think nothing of it." he smiled and nodded.

Tarmen saw no harm in revealing his discovery to Alexis.

“I did in fact. I couldn’t see my own hand in front of my face and got cut pretty good on some rocks, but found what the clansmen are so afraid of. Essentially their own version of Zin Garden, a city of the dead.”

He already felt his excitement growing as he recalled the experience.

The Arbiter briefly interrupted Tarmen and Alexis to say hello to the Kru'll man. "Welcome, Master Frespit. I see you brought your friend along." she laughed cheekily, referring to the imp's head.
She winked, gave a kiss on her hand and slapped it to his cheek. "Sorry to interrupt, please continue." She wandered off looking for a drink and headed toward Wim's wagon.

Hunter then slowly approached the others as he drank some water from his cup.
