Where To Begin?

“Master Norixius, if work is stalled, perhaps I can persuade yourself or some of your workers to build a small shrine or symbol made of stone and iron dedicated to the Pillars. As well as a tent or temporary shelter for use as a prayer room.”

She pulled out the small pouch of pearls she had stowed with her.

With that setup, she could bestow the Pillar's blessings to the frontier folk in a more official manner and hopefully get some confessions while she was at it. Maybe at the least, it would put some competitive spirit into the workers from Ostiarium. And if all efforts failed in Aquilo, she still completed her duties and would have to move on. Perhaps to check out the Void, or into Fang.

Markus looked at the pouch. "You are of course free to approach the clansmen that are refusing to work and try and hire them Arbiter." He said with a smile. "The prize those pearls highly." He continued.

Was Markus trying to be funny? He had a nice smile and Voah was just realizing there was actually a handsome looking man behind the soot, sweat, and dirt.

Talking to the clansmen seemed unproductive if they couldn’t understand each other without this Balt person.

“Who is in charge of the soldiers?Perhaps I’ll begin with them.” she sighed.

"A man who arrived yesterday named Tarmen." He replied.

The name was unmistakable.

“Ah, Tarmen. We are already acquainted. Thank you. I’m sure he won’t be hard to find. A pleasure meeting you Markus. I’ll be seeing you, I’m sure.” she said smiling.

Markus was as helpful as he could be she supposed and she didn’t want him to think he wasn’t appreciated.

Voah bade the blacksmith good day and left his office looking for Tarmen. She was so caught up in matters once she heard about the creed that she had seen neither Alexis nor Tarmen and was curious about how they had fared after Sentinel. All good for Tarmen by the sound of things.
