View character profile for: Alcuin Cenric
After meeting the Duke, the bounty hunter spent a good hour or so praying to his god Orestes in the comfort of his lodgings. "Orestes," he said in a peaceful tone "I ask to drink now from the cup of knowledge. Wisen my senses in the wake of this new beginning, I pray for your holy knowledge."
"I am here my child," Alcuin imagined a voice somewhat similar to his bounty hunter mentor Beornraed Hild, that was the voice he imagined as the voice of Orestes. It brought Alcuin immense comfort.
"I am in your audience Orestes, I sense your presence, your wisdom."
"I am here my child," repeated the imaginary voice.
"I may drink from the cup of knowledge?" Alcuin asked, before him was an empty goblet, the spoils of a previous bounty. It was silver and encrusted in all kinds of exotic jewels.
"You may!" The imaginary voice rattled through Alcuin's head, but it wasn't painful, it was surprisingly relaxing. The bounty hunter raised the goblet ceremonially and placed it to his bottom lip. He then swooped back his head with the goblet still held firmly in place, all while his eyes were tightly shut. Then they opened and he placed the goblet back on the ground.
"It is done, I thank you great Orestes." Alcuin lifted himself from the floor, then he went over to his belongings. In them was a collection of carefully prepared posters for bounties. He placed them carefully wrapped together as if they were a scroll in his pocket.
Alcuin left his room, passing through the Oak Cup bar into the settlement. "Until later," Alcuin waved goodbye to the some of the Oak Cup staff. They waved back and smiled. He navigated the streets bolting the posters to walls using old crossbow bolts.
Alcuin hoped the weather wouldn't ruin the delicate wanted posters. On the bottom he had added a note with his quill asking for anyone with information to seek him in the Oak Cup or to ask for him. Now he would just have to gather information or alternatively wait for the information to find him...
