Bees, Mud and Other Thoughts
Apparently, Islana's sheer presence didn't have the same effect on bees as some other animals. Not that she thought it would but it would have been an added benefit, or maybe it would have just confused the two people in the group that didn't know.
Even without that or attempting her power, which she highly doubted would have worked, the redhead had managed to come out of the movement of the beehive, with only a few stings. Her arms mostly.
It certainly wasn't that the huntress had never been stung before, that wasn't the case, but it hadn't happened in several years.
Instead, in the process of trying to avoid more stings, she had hit a patch of mud. Turn, slip and down the girl had gone. Not injured, just covered in the stuff. Made her feel like an amateur. Which was the case with moving bee hives but not when it came to the woods
Overall, the move had been successful but maybe a better plan could be devised for next time. Less stings, especially, for those that fared worse than she did. If there was a next time.
Islana had gotten cleaned up, changed and got the fire restarted. The young woman pulled some meat out of the smoke shack,bl cut it up with some additional ingredients into a pot for a stew of sorts. Certain most would likely be hungry but it made the most sense to make something easy to eat, if anyone needed that.
Thoughts went to the stream that wasn't too far from where they were living. The redhead had spotted fish there. Fish would be refreshing, especially when the temperate temperatures of spring gave way to the heat of summer. Thoughts of exploring the waterway a little more to try to find a decent spot for fishing, went through her mind. Ideas for another day.
