Cagliostros’ Apothecary - Evening
Nicolaus Cagliostro wiped his hand fastidiously in the bright light from the several lanterns.
“One of the reasons I chose this building was it originally had been used to store foodstuffs from rats so had a stone walled root cellar. It’s very convenient when doing an amputation and prefer the screams don’t disturb the shops next door.” Nicolaus used a silvered metal plate to ensure the last vestiges of purple were gone from his face.
The man secured to the table followed the apothecary with wide eyes but made no movement or sound.
“Ahh, I beg your forgiveness; I must give you something for that before we begin. I have so many questions!”
