Jiyn looked around at the faces around the fire, mainly at Hendrik tense face. Although he had not accepted the old woman's offer, not he had experienced what the others had, he could tell, whatever had passed between Omen and the others was real.
He kept glaring at them but kept his mouth shut. Mutilated bodies, rune carved trees, wooden effigies, witches and likely a murder out there in the forest claiming more victims.
Jiyn concentrated on strange the feeling was that he could not recall nothing from his voyage to Arcadia. It was a strange feeling and sensation. One of emptiness and frustration. And a sense of violation as well, that a part of his life had been erased. He looked sheeplesly at the others. Although he could not imagine what had been reveal to them, he could tell by their faces the toll had been heavier.
The vision of Shalia standing in the middle of a storm came to him again.
