Easing Tensions

Islana was getting more uncomfortable being out there the closer the night was coming to the small group.

When Wim offered his tarp it was a relief but then he mentioned the trees. The trees spoke to him. She could feel the tension from Hendrick and Jiyn almost instantly. However, that confession made him a little more trustworthy to Islana not much but there was just a little more towards that.

Wim then tried to say it was just an expression and that he had a dream to come out here. Islana believed him as much as she could make herself for the moment.

The horse had been looking at her the whole time, the animal seemed to be getting a little more nervous, as well, the darker it got. Islana walked right past Wim and towards the horse. She petted the horse which seemed to instantly calm the creature.

Islana then spoke to the men trying to ease the tension, "Hasn't everyone just want to be away from the city for a time? I believe a tarp will do for the night. We do have another problem. I am unsure if we will make it out of the woods before nightfall."

She was still carefully holding the object she found in the tree with one hand while she petted the horse with the other. Islana held up the object so Wim could see. "Would you happen to have seen anything like this before?"
