The Night Progresses

The drunken man’s outburst and response by all there to the words of Sister Locust did serve a purpose, it showed clearly who believed in her and who was still weary of the redheaded leader. It also showed the majority seemed with her. It was difficult to tell if she might have pulled a few to her side that had been on the fence but Islana felt it was possible.

The man was tossed out, into the night and then there was that brief moment of silence that usually happens in this kind of instance. Soon enough people went back to drinking and talking. It was as if that entire interruption had never occurred.

The night progressed with small talk, there was too much wine flowing through everyone to get into strategy or any more politics it seemed. Eventually, it started to get late, The food had stopped being served a while ago and the wine was slowing down. People started to leave and eventually, Islana was getting tired and mentioned to those that had come with her she was ready to go. The young woman thanked her hosts and headed out with Agizul, Amastan, and Izdärasen walking with her and her guards close behind.

She was silent as the words of the drunken man rolled through her mind, perhaps what had been said did not address the issue enough. Upon arriving at the Sister’s tent, the young woman turned to her closest advisors. “I want to meet with the leaders of the Sept tomorrow morning. Let them know that they will be able to address any concerns at that time.” As if suddenly realizing the lateness of the evening or the wine drunk, a small smile came to her. “On second thought, it might be best to hold the meeting in the afternoon. I will see you all tomorrow.” The three of them bowed to her before going off in their own respective directions.

Isana looked up at the stars, and sighed, it was likely going to be another night of dreams that were not of her own making. Memories of times from before the redhead lived on the earth. While normally these made for a restless sleep, tonight she wanted to hear from one in particular - Maybe you could give me some insight at how to convince those that don’t want to believe. You managed an entire people to follow the Twins. How?

The young woman wasn’t expecting anything to come of that but it did not hurt to ask. Islana just wished for more insights into the only other Sister to come from outside the Ozanine. With that last thought the new Sister Locust headed to bed.
