Spirits for the spirit
JP with Lorem, Lucian, Winteroak and Bandorchu
Gonyaul nodded in affirmation to Tarmen. “Yes And work very well. Fang soldier try to take advantage of me when stand in front him.” He was about to continue when he heard Voah’s mirth, a sound he adored, and Alexis’s comment.
He blinked, not sure how to take that. It appeared to be a compliment? He bowed in thanks, with a bashful smile. “You make damn fine woman too.” He copied her words.
Turning back to address Tarmen he continued his train of thought. “No, I think best to be wife. Then no one want to … touch … me like Fang try. If think me married than will leave me more alone for fear of you response and focus most attention through you, no me.”
Taking in the moment, Tarmen felt a spark among them and for once he didn’t fight it. After all, this was what he had been missing.
All the same, he wanted to fight the logic presented to him, but knew there was some truth to it.
By his blade, it WOULD be a fellow Kru’ll to put him in a box like this.
With a groan he accepted that it might be his fate… as well as remembering some lesser known plans of his past that played out similarly. Hopefully this worked out better.
“If a story is needed, then fine… IF it’s needed. Can’t say my presence is the best deterrent though, I usually incite fights more than drive them off.”
The light of the day eventually started to fade. Ekero brought out a bottle of his favourite cactus spirit, a potent brew he made for personal consumption and special occasions. He offered a small cup to everyone and poured a generous amount into each.
"Strong." He said with grin in a thick accent before gulping down most of his own. His face went bright and he gasped for air grinning waiting for the others to join. Warriors that were off to war needed a good send off.
Alexis accepted the cup with a smile and a thanks and chose to take Ekero’s warning to heart.
The diminutive tinkerer definitely gave off a sense of being able to hold his liquor, so when he said this was strong…
And, huh boy, that stuff had spirit! After a thankfully more measured swig, she felt the burn and had to clear her throat with a short cough, turning into a chuckle.
“Strong indeed.”
she agreed, raising her cup to her gracious host.
