With no other options available to them the group deferred to Alexis' decision.

Slowly separating themselves for the other arriving caravans, the group made their way to the edges of Desdem, to find the man from Hel's Maw and his farm.

Lead by Alexis and Tarmen they found it easily, spotting the table outside his small hut pulled with gadgets and tools from his latest tinkering and inventions.

Voah and Gonyaul spotted a diminutive man, a few metres from the house, busy harvesting cacti and peppers, before the first frosts of the year, which although not as severe as in other parts of Arcadia, it could still destroy most crops.

Ekero dropped what he was doing when he saw the four approaching, reaching out for the axe on his belt but quickly recognised his two former guests.

Alexis and Tarmen introduced their party, explaining that a decade ago Ekero had travelled to Gra'akast on business selling his wares and eventually settled in Desdem wanting to leave his old life behind.

Here they could rest and decide what to do next. They were travelling ahead of the Sand Horde but they could not delay or soon it would swallow them...
