Orestes Bibliotheca
Orestes - Pillar of Knowledge
Among the faithful and followers of Orestes, those that follow his tenets in life, believe that once their earthly life comes to an end, their souls, if worthy, will be transported to the hallowed Hall of their creator.
Known among the sect as 'Orestes Bibliotheca', they believe this place to be an infinite expanse of adjacent hexagonal rooms. In each room, there is an passageway on one wall, and five walls of bookshelves.
Here there are said to exist the books contain every possible ordering of just 29 basic glyphs (22 letters, the period, the comma, and space).
Though the vast majority of the books in this universe are pure gibberish, the library also must contain, somewhere among its silent and vast halls, every coherent book ever written, or that might ever be written, and every possible permutation or slightly erroneous version of every one of those books.
It is said that the library must contain all useful information, including predictions of the future, life story of any person that ever lived or will live, and the translations of every book in all languages.
Others believe that since all books exist in the library, somewhere one of the books must be a perfect index of the library's contents.
Only after death could one roam their God's home. Because if any living being would gain access to the place while alive, this absurd amount of information, as most books appear to be totally useless to the reader, would leave any penitents in a state of suicidal despair. Always seeking, always searching for those few that made sense.
Thus Orestes teaches, 'That all men should juggle letters and symbols until they construct, by the improbable gift of chance, canonical books."
