Vasant Manor - Kingdom of Torja

Five years before landfall in Arcadia

Three days north of Rekas the capital of the Kingdom, stood the opulent Vasant Manor. One of the largest in the realm outside of the nobility closest relates to the King and the Royal Family.

Set in an expansive field of rolling hills and forests, the manor is comprised of tracts of agricultural land, a small nearby village whose inhabitants worked the land for the Vasant Family. Verdant woods, orchards, gardens, and a few small lakes, where fish could be found, all centred around the Manor's main house.

From the outside the house looks lavish. It's built with blue stones with cypress wooden decorations. Tall, squared windows brighten up the house and were added in a fairly symmetrical pattern.

The building is shaped like an L. The extension pushes into a garden path circling around half the house.
The second floor is bigger than the first, which creates a stylish overhang and balconies. This floor follows the same style as the floor below.

The roof was high and triangular, but one side is longer than the other and is covered with dark ceramic tiles. Two large chimneys sit at either side of the house. Large, skylight windows let in plenty of light to the rooms below the roof.

The house itself is surrounded by paved stones, with a large pond to one side and a majestic marble fountain just off the main entrance stairwell. Various potted plants, small shrubs and trees, circle the exterior of the Vasant Residence. These are tended daily by a team of groundskeepers.

Preparations had started almost a week ago for the lavish party Lord Vasant was throwing to entertain some of the most affluent nobles and merchants of the Kingdom.

Preparations that would culminate this evening.
