No Good Options

Was it possible the men were after her? Based on the sounds of fighting that seemed to come from all around there was another reason for this and it likely had more to do with the others than herself. These did seem like the men in the desert not the same people but maybe part of the same group. The arrow that got her arm could have, just as easily, been shot someplace more vital.

The young woman didn’t have time to think much about it as she suddenly found herself surrounded by men with robes. They came at her with robes. It definitely seemed more apparent that they were not likely trying to kill the dark-haired woman but disarm her. To many, she would be seen as the bigger threat because of her magik.

How likely was it that they would leave Tarmen alone and not kill him if she just surrendered herself? It was clear, the Helian man was in a more desperate situation than her own. Leaving him alone didn’t seem like a good option either.

Silina left the arrow in her arm and moved quickly opposite the men that were coming after her with the ropes. She quickly ran from them not trying to attack them but did throw sand towards anyone she could that was coming after Tarmen and ran closer to the Helian man.
