Another Broken Day

Even in its dulled state, the crunch of bone was a feeling he could never ignore. Further damage to and already broken limb, though the rest of him wasn’t far behind.
His newest attacker had no issue in bringing the Kru’ll man down, simply sweeping his last good foot out from under him. Any reserves of vitality had been used up, leaving Tarmen only able to lift his blade in defense. This man proved smarter than the others, using his weapons reach to keep Tarmen away from Silina and to wear him down further.
He couldn’t see a way out at this point, a new wave of panic hitting as this instant mirrored Aquilo nearly to a T. All he needed was that snarling frostbitten face to be behind the club and it would be perfect.
He also felt a deep regret in having wasted his energy before, he could have at least taken another assassin with him if he had been well rested. The rumbling continued through his thoughts, replacing his shame with an anger towards what was becoming a common occurrence with timing.
Not that his anger would help him now. Once again he was fighting for his survival and being overwhelmed, only able to curse the world and himself amidst the chuckles of his mind’s madness.
