Followed

As Tarmen moved away from the square following the flow of those that were now leaving the square looking for places to continue their celebrations or simply returning to their homes and camps.

The cave diver turned gladiator decided to go south towards the harbour. He was conscious that he was carrying a huge amount of gold and that he could easily become prey to some gambler or even some organisers of the contest. No one bat an eyelid at a dead foreign found gutted in some alley of the Holy city. He knew people were capable of killing forma handful of coppers let alone the small fortune he had won.

Maybe it was paranoia but the more he thought about it the more he felt watched. He looked around but with the streets filled with bodies it made it hard to concentrate on the feeling. Plus he was tired and battered. He needed some rest soon. His body would start to shutdown soon.

He turned a corner into a narrow side street to see if he was being followed. Keeping an eye over his shoulder he almost bumped into someone. A young woman. She smiled at him. Tarmen blinked as his tired mind slowly made sense of who he was looking at. Before either could speak he saw her smile drop and her eyes fill with fear.

"Run..." Silina shouted as two arrows flew above their heads.
