Unnatural Phenomenon

JP with Lorem and Omni

Voah paid close attention to the details, appreciating the ingenuity of Arak's communication methods. She was sure she understood clearly what the old lady was trying to convey. The woman and her little shop of oddities were fascinating, but sadly their time was cut short as some matter of import was occurring outside regarding the Immortal Prophetess.

Thanking the old woman, Voah expediantly collected her belongings and headed over to the window where Gonyaul was standing, glad that the exchange only cost each of them some traded information.

"By Cambena..." whispered Voah in wonderment upon seeing the gathering storm. It reminded her of the sandstorm which they had endured for days and she was now beginning to understand that maybe the sandstorm had something to do with the Seer and not at all with Voah incurring some divine wrath. That gave her some relief, but her Arbiter side was feeling uneasy about the unnatural phenomenon. Even though the storm was no doubt encircling above the Temple of the Wandering, Voah felt compelled to investigate and so she grabbed her fiance by the hand and headed out into the streets of Gra'akast where they joined droves of Ozainae funneling toward the sight with excitement in the air.

Gonyaul was pulled along. He expressed how it was probably better to take cover inside than be out and about with such an atmospheric event growing overhead. The rest of Gra’akast seemed to be ignoring the ominous nature of the sky and so was Voah. He couldn’t help but think, ~here we go again~ as he saw the determined look in her eyes to seek out more information.

With his initial concerns thrown to the wayside, he at least made headway by asking Voah about her conversation with Arak. He hadn’t been paying attention and Voah was able to catch him up to speed on what took place.

They were both funneled towards the temple like being pulled out to sea by a riptide. One couldn’t go against it if they tried. For now, Gonyaul flowed with the current; however, he was not sure this was a wise thing to be doing and was contemplating swimming perpendicular to the flow of people to at least get to the edge. He would have to wait for that opportunity though, a river of people was different than a river of water, and there was no chance yet to do anything but be carried away.
