JP with Winteroak and Omni
The old woman took an appraising look over the contents of the box while keeping her eye on the young man with an expression that warned him that he should not touch anything and if he did she would turn him into a newt.
She looked back at Voah and shook her head. "Dro?" She asked clearly asking if the woman had anything else to trade for. Something more valuable and more suitable to the nature of her trade.
~Dro? More?~ The old woman was asking for more options rather than in some greedy or high priced manner and it didn’t take long for Voah to come up with something. She pulled out the rune inscribed shackles and they clattered upon the countertop.
“Stops magik.” Voah added, though she didn’t know if the woman would understand.
Arak eyes widened in glee and surprise. She slowly prodded the metal with two fingers feeling its quality and tracing the strange glyphs.
"You make?" She asked raising an eyebrow.
“Yes.” Voah confirmed, pointing to the glyphs and then to herself, without going into detail about the fact that she didn’t actually smith the shackles themselves.
The old woman brought the shackles close to her face. "Old ore." She said and pointed to the glyphs. "What tongue?"
So it seemed this would be worth the trade, Voah supposed… Very well.
“Two…” she held up two fingers them pointed to some of the symbols. “Old Mizaran…” and then another type. “And Allosi. We trade knowledge, nnn?”
The crone mulled it over and smiled. “Ma.” she smiled in affirmation. “Is good.”
“A deal then.” Voah nodded.
Arak nodded and turned to take a large wrinkly leather book, a quill and a ink-well and started to make notes on the glyphs.
"How you make work?" She asked and passed the quill to Voah.
The ex Arbiter shared as much as she could about the ritual she had used based on the 'Road to Salvation' tome and the mixture of Allosi and Mizarian script she had used during the etching of the material. She wasn't sure it would work without the prayers to the Pillars she had spent over the metal once engraved.
Arak watched and listened intently to the explanations occasionally asking for clarification around some of the meanings of Voah's words.
Once she was satisfied she nodded and asked to see the egg again.
