Reality Sets In

The bow from the Ascendant came not as deeply as the others would. Not only was Islana not surprised by this but she expected it. The Islana part of her was still getting used to being bowed to at all and the rest knew what would happen.

The onslaught of memories on her mind was overwhelming and made her head swim. She felt dizzy and wondered how long it took to get used to this but knowing it would happen eventually. Certainly like nothing Islana had known before.

A flash of the vision of the last Prophetess, telling her to hurry. Time was of the essence - maybe that was why Islana's trial had taken less time.

Tamazzalt's arm had been taken without thinking about it. It had steadied the woman and led her to a balcony. The night air was cold. Her eyes caught sight of the cloud of dust which was signaling the beginning of the new vessel.

Emerald eyes remained fixed on the cloud watching as it grew. Knowing it was calling people to bear witness to what had occurred

The grip on the banister was tight as reality of what was about to occur sunk in.
