Sting Gambler

Voah and Gonyaul watched the men around a small circle of stones. laughing and shouting as two bright yellow and gold scorpions fought each other. One with a pincer almost as large as half its body seemed to have his opponent corned while they traded stings against each others carapaces.

They saw coins changing hands and at some point the man taking the bets asked them if they wanted to be part of the action.

The bouts lasted until one of the two animals was dead and in between fights they saw people coming and going, many of whom brought their own animal to challenge the nasty with the larger pincer.

They saw it defeat at least four others. Taking the interlude between bouts the two approached the man taking the bets and asked for his time. Once the three were alone Voah showed the man the egg and asked where she could find more about it.

The sting gambler eyed widen in shock and immediately he made several offers for the egg up to 50gp knowing he could fetch ten times that from the black markets.

Voah refused them all. Defeated the man pointed them in the direction of old woman Arak, who tended a small traditional Ozainae medicine shop in the north ward knowing full well she would pay him a small fee for sending the two strangers her way.
