Gra'akast
Tamazzalt, The Ascendant, stood in the steps of the Temple with his torch held aloft in the evening breeze. His eyes looked up at the thin sliver of silver that marked the end of the last moon cycle. A few days left and the New Moon would be upon them and with it the end of the timeframe that allowed for the Immortal Seer to find a new host. Once the New Moon was passed, there would be no more Sister Locust. The end to a line that streched back almost two thousand years would come to pass. The end of an era. And one he hoped would herald the rebirth of the Ozainae.
This part of the ritual was not common knowledge among most of the Septs. Only the priests of the Twin Gods and the most learned among them knew of this. ALthough never once in the long line of sucession had the Passage be in danger of not taking place. Never once in their history had so few penitents emerged from from the sands by this time. And now the one who did, lay dead. Her body laying in the same place as the last Sister Locust. The paralels spoke volumes to the crowds.
All eyes turned to his impossing figure. Tamazzalt, blessed by the Twin Gods as a Water-Bearer and Air Weaver, the only one in recorded history, as he stood up looking over the crowd.
Shalia - Just before Tamazzalt emerges from the Temple, Amastan comes stand next to you and your guards. You dont know if by choice or design. She bows to you, her eyes bloodstained from the excesses of the previous night. She will be translating his words for you at least. Whatever is about to happen will likely influence Koshmen's plans and your treaty with the Ozainae.
Voah - You have seen crowds like this one before. In fact you have stood in the exact same place as the man with the brown robes before, about to address a large gathering of faithful, knowing your words can direct and influece the ones standing before you with enough zeal and passion. You notice several clusters of Dark Robes among the crowd. Two of them not to far behind you.
Gonyaul - You still scan the crowd for Voah but know it will be impossible to locate her among this sea of people. Maybe this was not the best course of action. At least you will be able to get away quickly once this is all done with, as you are close to the edges of the square.
