The Third One

Gra'akast

Alexis paced around the circular cave several times, trying to make sense of what she was seeing. It was clearly a depiction of times gone by, likely before the city became what it is today. The preserved paint on the walls and ceilings was ancient. The place seemed to have been more than just a repository of knowledge. She could feel that once it had been a place of gathering, of worship.

It told a story of three deities. Life, Death and Fate. The triumvirate that watched over the peoples and lands of the Great Desert of Skulls. It told the story of how three became two, how the Ichor of Solitude was used to cut asunder their bond. How the one was buried under the sands and her power used to create the immortal spark of a new being. The story culminated in the ceiling where a huge black spiral covered the stone, reminiscent of a storm.

But what caught her attention was a small painting almost near the bottom of the wall. A Hammer broken in two by a black hand.
